Introduction The Department of Education’s vision mission serve as gyiding

principles in the thrust to provide quality and meaningful education. Its

vision visualizes the department as people organization committed to a

culture of excellence in public service. It has the task of educating the

Fiipino child discover his/her full potential and enable him/her create

his/her destiny in global community. DepEd provides a school system

where administrators and staff exercise visionary leadership responsive

to emerging learning needs of learners.

The Tabango National High School embraces all these things

wholeheartedly with utmost prestige.

Problem Description

Problem 1 3.4% or 34 out of 976 students dropped out as of S.Y. 2015-2016

Problem 2 65.51% Average NAT MPS is below the National MPS Standard

Problem 3 Out of 395, 34 students belong to frustration level and 370 belong to

instructional level

Problem Objective
Problem 1 To decrease the drop- out rate from 3.4% or 34 to 20 0r 2% at the end of

the school year SY 2016-2017

Problem 2 To increase the academic performance of the students taking NAT from

65.51% to 70% at the end of SY 2016-2017


Problem 3 To upgrade the reading level of students from 34 frustration to

instructional level and 370 instructional level to at least 200 independent

level readers at the end of SY 2016-2017.

Benefits of solving the


problem
Problem 1 14 Students who will continue their studies will be given awards for the

accomplishments done so do with the Project team who implemented

the project

Problem 2 The Tabango NHS as a whole benefits the positive result of the project.

One is that is our PBB.

Problem 3 404 students will benefit if the problem will be solved. They will be

recognized on their achievements.

Homework 1: Leadership Journal

Theme: Instructional leadership

Situation: On teaching-learning process Araling Panlipunan

o Require the Araling Panlipunan teachers to localize their competences.

o Provide indigenized instructional materials in the delivery of the lesson.

Task: call for short conference with the Araling Panlipunan

Give technical assistance in localizing the competencies

Instruct them to apply the localized competencies in their lessons

Action: Conduct class observation with post observation conference

Result: The teacher and learners enjoyed with the discussion, there was interaction between the

teacher and the learners and also an interaction between the leaners and the indigenized

Instructional materials.

Resolution: I will advise the teachers in Araling Panlipunan to continue to contextualize and

localize the competencies in the CG and use the localized instructional materials

in the day to day delivery instructions.

As a school head, attending the SHDP leads me to embrace challenges along the way to be

an effective leader and manager in achieving the vision, mission and values of the Department of

Education.

3. a. An area of concern in my school is contextualization of the competencies in the CG.

b. It is concern because teaching-learning process in school is more realistic when situations

are familiar to the learners.
