Since I started my education the interest for learning was increasing year after

year. Mostly I use reading as part of my hobbies, which I think is benefiting me by

gaining new information from it that will broadly expand my knowledge.

In my spare time I like to play football and basketball. I find it to be an excellent

Form of exercise for the body and mind. During my time at school I have been
actively involved with the football team, working my way to becoming captain last
year. Being involved in the team has allowed me to develop my communication
and time‐management skills, along with motivating the rest of my team. I really
enjoy volunteering and once a week I help younger students to learn playing
football.

As well as reading and playing football, I also enjoy getting involved in my local
community in my spare time. As part of my school’s volunteering scheme, I work
on Wednesday afternoons in a local environmental organization. This is an
interesting and satisfying task. I believe that volunteering will allow me to learn
skills which will help me with this career path.

Lastly, I am still seeking a career that will allow me to continue working with
people in many different ways.
As a young age I started my primary education in Hargeisa in 2001 in a school
called Sheikh Ali Osman primary school.
After eight years of hard work and full of challenge I lastly finished my primary
education becoming one of the top 20 students in the country.

Later on, I started my secondary education with a full appetite for learning at Ileys
secondary school. In my days in the school I was an extremely hardworking
person who is committed to reaching his goals. I take work very seriously and feel
that my conscientious approach will stand me in good stead for university study. I
believe that my ability to motivate myself is a key factor in my overall success.

Really, I believe that in Turkey the system, quality, and advancement of education
are enhanced according to the need of people.
I expect a good outstanding and beneficial knowledge from studying in Turkey
which will fulfill my dreams towards this department engineering.
I feel that with a basic understanding and being a committed and determined
individual I can successfully progress and bring a lot to the course and the
university.

My future plans are to benefit from this opportunity and bring something back to
my community and country Somalia.
I look forward for this opportunity and very eager to take advantage of all the
opportunities that universities provide to widen my knowledge.
I am applying to study Engineering at university because this is a subject which
has fascinated me from an early age.
I think that this program or department suits me as I used to learn science
subjects like, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics in my secondary level.
Also some of teachers advised to me for learning this program as a result of
achieving higher grades in science subjects.

Based on my knowledge of science subjects, I believe that my educational

background and abilities would be an excellent match for this department. Also I
believe that I have the personal skills and the motivation to be successful in a
career in engineering.
Really, I have a real passion for this department and I believe that it will benefit
me and my community in Somalia.

I am looking forward to these opportunities, both academic and social and feel
ready for this new chapter in my life, which will hopefully help me to achieve my
ambition of becoming a successful engineer.
Turkey is a country with different cultures and world view because of its
geographical location.
Turkey always has been in the center of the events which change the course of
history and host civilizations affected humankind. Turkey is one of those countries
who give a fundamental right to all learners no matter where they are and who
they are.

Moreover, Turkey opens its universities for international students from all around
the world giving vast opportunities and education and helping them to gain new
perspectives and to suit their selves with new abilities making them be one step
ahead of others in their career.

Furthermore, the higher educational system in Somalia is not good as Turkey

because Somalia has been destroyed by civil war more than two decades
although the educational system is improving recently.

Lastly, I look forward that university in Turkey will help me achieve my aim of
qualifying as an engineer and enhance the goals that I have ahead of me so I
choose Turkey for my higher education.
