THE SPIRITUAL REALM.

Part 1
We know we live in a physical realm that we see, feel, and touch, but there is a spiritual
realm that is more superior to the physical that we take for granted. This seen realm was
created from the unseen realm.
Hebrews 11: 3, Message Bible: By faithless understand that the universe was formed at
God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
There is the existence of a spiritual reality, unseen by human eyes. Our physical reality,
we do not question it, we see it and just accept it; yet we doubt this unseen realm we call
spiritual. Spiritual reality consists of good and evil. The good comes from God and holy
angels . The evil comes from Satan and his demons who are fallen angels God evicted
from heaven . Ezekiel 28:11-17, Isaiah 14:12-15. When God created us, He gave us a
spiritual component, a heart that longs to know him , his spirit and when we receive him at
salvation, that spirit man comes alive within us and is no longer under the authority of the
devil.
The Bible gives us many encounters of God’s spiritual realm coming in contact with this
physical realm: casting out demons, feeding the thousands of people with a few fish and
loaves of bread, speaking to sickness and seeing it go, and dead things coming to life.
Heavenly realms means a sphere of spiritual activity and includes both good and evil
activity. God is a spirit and is not bound to time, space, or matter. His home is heaven, He
sits on a throne surrounded by angels that exist to serve God and minister to his saints
and they have the ability to appear as men when sent to deliver us a message from God.
The dark side belongs to Satan and his evil spirits, he is not God’s counterpart because
our God has no challenger. Satan only has the power God allows him for only as long as
God allows it. Only God has the answer to the why of this statement, hopefully it is to
perfect us to grow more in his likeness and image, just as he first created man to be.
Our physical battles that we face are intense at times, the results only temporary for
another battles always awaits until we reach a point that our faith rises above the battle
and soars completely in God above the storms of life. Every spiritual battle has eternal
consequences. If we could see these battles with unveiled eyesight, we would be more
careful about what we say and do, for our words releases power in the spiritual realm.
This is why we must learn our own limitations in the spirit and understand our spiritual
authority. When we do, we will see our spiritual gifts will be enhanced then. God desires
all of us to walk every day in his spiritual authority and power that he has placed back in
our hands. Prayer is the key to walking in this power and authority.
There is always order in the spirit and God’s order undergirds our authority. We have no
authority in the flesh, but when we use our God given authority, things change in the spirit
realm and in the physical realm. God’s authority will always be challenged, just as it has
been since Satan stole it from Adam. Spiritual authority is our secret weapon and the side
of evil has to cave into this authority. We can confuse the spirit of darkness if:
We walk with God in a personal relationship and have nothing before him in our hearts.
Walk in the dominion that God has given us in this earthly life.
We will not need this power and authority when we get to heaven, it is to be used here on
earth by walking in faith 100% of the time and not by sight. We have the victory in every
battle if we have learned how this enemy of ours operates In our lives. Satan wants all the
power and authority God has placed in our hands, yet as God’s saints, few of us use it to
its fullest potential.

Part 2 Operating in the Spirit Realm

We engage the spirit realm continually, day and night when we pray, worship, think or
meditate. This is why the Word of God tells us to guard our thoughts (2 Corinthians 19:5)
and to gird up our loins (I Peter 1:13). This means to strengthen and prepare yourself for
what is to come. Our thoughts are how we communicate in the spirit realm. This is how
angels minister to us as well as devils tempting us. Devils will speak to your mind to make
you think those thoughts are your own.
Every time we pray we make ripples in the spirit realm. We can move heaven and earth
when we use the spiritual authority we have in Christ Jesus by speaking and declaring the
Word of God. Christians need to be more aware we are affected by this unseen world all
the time and how important it is to take control of our senses instead of us allowing them
to be used in defeating us.
All kinds of beings operate in this spirit realm. We understand the angels, living creatures
and a cloud of witnesses in this heavenly realm. This heavenly realm is alive and sings
praises to God and even rocks sing! Likewise there are demons and ungodly creatures
that travel in this spirit realm without God’s blessings. We most often know about demons
disguised as angels of light. We have the Holy Spirit to give us a “knowing” if our
encounters are from heaven or not. There a book called “Regions of Captivity” by Ana
Mendez Farrell that reveal more insight into this darkness.
The spirit realm has no restraints like time, distance, or space. Just as we daydream and
go places in our minds, we also go places in the spirit realm! This is how God transported
Phillip to the eunuch. God is using this method today to teach and train us for the days
ahead!
Have you had an experience of been transported in a vision or dream. Briefly relate it to
help others understand they are not alone when having these experiences.
The spirit realm is like walking through a doorway, Just as John did when he wrote
Revelation. It is possible for us to see into this realm and to experience it in a way we
never have before. We all need to have the desire of doing greater works than Jesus did.
Matthew gave us a mandate to do greater works, and not be satisfied with the everyday
norm. Jesus operated in this level all the time but the devil tries to stop us for he does not
want us to see into his operations and learn how he operates against us in the spirit.
Allow the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us and direct our pathways. We can have
heavenly adventures without ever leaving our homes or comfort zones. However, be
aware there is a dark side also. Both sides can be unveiled to us through visions and
dreams. I have found most of my visions are in vivid living color that is hard to even put
into words. This is because the spirit realm is alive with color just as heaven is when we
get glimpses into it, but one day will get to see it first hand for ourselves.
Visions can be a quick glimpse like a scene in a movie or a TV set. It seems like you see it
for a split second of time but are able to describe every detail. Dreams are sometimes in
color, sometimes not, and you don’t remember every detail in dreams. Visions have a
pretty solid theme whereas dreams do not. I would suggest keeping a journal and write all
dreams and visions down. I keep one by my bed at night because I usually wake up after
having one and will write it down then. Dreams are more elusive if you wait til daylight or
you may not remember it at all.
Dreams come when sleeping, visions while you are awake. You are called a seer if God is
showing you things in a vision. This is what happens to me when I pray for someone, God
will reveal a picture of something about the person or something he wants done in their life.
You may not always understand them, I did not when they first started in my life. There
were times I thought I was crazy and made the mistake of sharing them with others. That
was a mistake because all people are not on the same level in their faith and think you
literally are going crazy. I shared some with my unsaved husband and he threatened to
send me to a home for crazy people.
Have you had experiences like these or if you do not understand, don’t be afraid to ask
questions. That is how we all learn...questions, answers, and growing in knowledge from
others that have walked in arenas we are only beginning to move in. Be careful with who
you share your experiences with. Satan will use immature people to derail you and to
cause you to draw back spiritually.

you realize the more you learn about the operation of the spirit realm, the greater the
warfare you will have? The enemy will try to stop you anyway he can.
