Providing and fixing of fully glazed fire rated doors as per IS 3614
part-2 / BS 476 part-22 / ISO 834-1 for stability and integrity.
Pressed galvanized steel confirming to IS 277 with the following
specification. Glazed door shall be tested from CBRI/ TBW /
CERTIFIER for maximum rating of 120mins, in latched /unlatched
condition (if used with deadbolts and pull handles). Test certificates
should be made available for max door size tested as a complete
assembly. Independent glass test certificates will not be accepted.
Manufacturer test certificate shall cover doors both single and
double leaf and all doors supplied should be within the tested
specimen. Proper label confirming the type of door and the hourly
rating is mandatory. Approved manufacturer Shakti Hormann.
Frames & Partitions
Door frames and partitions shall be single rebate frame profile of
size 125 x 55mm made out of 1.60mm (16gauge) minimum thick
galvanized steel sheet. Frames shall be butted/mitered and with
mandatory provision for smoke seal and field assembled with self
tabs. All transom profiles and side panels shall be from similar
profile and should be as per the tested specimen. For partitions,
the glass should be held in its place with the help of minimum 1.2
mm GI beading with 25mm height, which can be clamped to the
profile by 4 mm x 35 mm steel screws at every 250 m c/c and a
ceramic tape of the cross section of 5 mm x 20 mm as per the test
evidence. All provision should be mortised, drilled and tapped for
receiving appropriate hardware. Door frames shall be with back
plate bracket and anchor fasteners for installation on a finished
plastered masonry wall opening. The supports for mounting the
system from top shall be included as per design requirement.

Door leaf
Door leaf shall be fully glazed Type SH85 with minimum 60 x 85mm
profile step box section for taking glass elements. Door leaf shall be
manufactured from 1.2mm (18guage) minimum thick galvanised
steel sheet. For doors, the glass should be held in its place with the
help of minimum 1.2 mm GI beading with 25mm height, which can
be clamped to the profile by 6 mm x 19 mm steel screws at every
250 m c/c and a ceramic tape of the cross section of 3 mm x 15
mm as per the test evidence. The internal construction of the door
should be rigid reinforcement pads for stability of profile. All doors
shall be 60mm prepped with necessary reinforcement for hinges,
locks, and door closers. For pair of doors integral astragals has to
be provided on the meeting stile for both active and inactive leaf.
The glass should CE rated minimum 8mm thick pyran, non-wired
and toughened with 120 minutes stability, integrity and light
transmission of minimum 90% in accordance to EN1363 and
EN1364. The glass should be compliant to Class A category of
Impact Resistance as per BS 6206: 1981 and 1(C)1 category of
EN12600.Glazing kit to be provided along with steel beeding for
concealed site fixing.Hinges shall be minimum 100 x 75 x 3mm
thick, ball bearing type suitable for heavy doors.

All doors and frames shall be finished to “PURE POLYSTER

POWDER COATING” for minimum 50 microns (on the visible
surface of the Shutter and Frame) of approved colour. The door leaf
and frame shall have passed minimum 500 hours of salt spray test
Rate should include supply and installation of door and hardware as
a complete assembly as given in the schedule. Once frame
installed should be filled with fire rated PUF as recommended by
the manufacturer or the engineer in charge
Glazed door with Mortise dead locks shall be narrow profile H6
with 35mm backset with escutcheon and 80mm cylinder. Pull

handle shall be minimum 350mm, C-type offset. Heavy duty door
closer with spring size - HDC35.
