Description
Adicem is an acrylic, non-redispersable, bonding agent designed to improve adhesion between
hardened and fresh concrete/mortar. Adicem meets ASTM C1059, Type II.

Applications
 Pre-stressed concrete repair (non-  Stuccos
structural)  Bond Coats
 Leveling mortars  Mortar admixture
 Repair mortars  General masonry
 Overlays

Benefits
 Versatile product for a wide range of construction applications.
 Reduces concrete/mortar permeability when used as an admixture.
 Can be used in interior and exterior applications
 Withstands humid environment, does not re-emulsify.
 Improves bond strength.

Use Instructions
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean, firm and free of loose material, curing compounds, mold release agents,
grease, dust, paint, oil or any other material residue that might affect adhesion. A mechanically
roughened surface through sand blasting, shot blasting or scarifying is required for an adequate
performance. Make sure to wet surface to a saturated surface dry condition (SSD) before product
installation.

Precautions and Recommendations

 Designed for professional contractors.
 Homogenize product prior to application.
 Clean tools and equipment thoroughly and with sufficient water after application.
 Adicem is not a waterproofing admixture.
 SSD surface condition is highly recommended for Adicem applications.
 Do not allow Adicem to dry to a tack-free condition prior to coating/mortar installation.
 Install Adicem on appropriate surface and ambient temperatures, 45°F to 95°F (7°C to 35°C).
