Learning Objective: Students will explore one of our nation’s most important
documents. Students will learn about the specific rights and
freedoms protected by the Bill of Rights.
● Identify the ten amendments that comprise the Bill of
Rights.
● Translate the Bill of Rights into student friendly
language.
● Make connections between real-life scenarios and the
Bill of Rights.
The Bill of Rights was written more than 200 years ago when
our country was, in many ways, a very different place. Over
time, the Constitution has been amended, or changed, and
now includes a total of 27 amendments. But the original Bill
of Rights has not changed.
