Design Essentials Description

Project Name Global Connections in a Language Arts Classroom


Website Weebly
Location Students will able to effectively communicate with other students
who are located in Georgia.
Communication Students will use a variation of communication outlets throughout
the course of the project to share ideas and information that is
gathered. These outlets include blogs, Google Suites, whole group
Skype, Google Classrooms, and others.
Generation Throughout this project, students will be able to explore various
viewpoints, ideas and experiences from other students who are
located in Georgia. This will take place through the use of
difference online applications that includes but is not limited to
Google Suites, blogging, etc. Students will be able to share finding
and ideas.
Information The Outsiders H.E. Hinton
Students will complete and online self-assessment/ reflection at
the end of the assignment.
Time Students will be required to blog at least twice a week based on
the information that is collected throughout the week. Discussion
starters and discussion keys that will be provided daily on Google
Classroom will also influence the students’ blogs.
Learning Legacy Viewpoints, experiences, and ideas will be shared with other
students and all assessments and modules will be online.

Project Aims The project aims for the student global learning and collaboration
Focus Questions project is to use technology to create engaging assessments that
will enhance student learning.
How can we use multimedia to effectively convey a message?

Prerequisites and Skill Students will be required to have a understanding of how to use a
Level computer and navigate online programs and applications. They
will also be required to know how to use digital communication
tools.
Required Outcomes Students will be required to effectively communicate with other
students online.
Optional Outcomes Students will be required to submit answers to an assignment.
Team Structure Students will be partnered with other students across Georgia to
complete the online required assessments.
Required Inputs Students are required to input their answers in the online platform.
Optional Inputs Students are required to collaborate with other student for the real-
life scenario.
Assessment The student assessment will be rubric based that is shared used
vertically for ALL student assessments.
