The AngelReiki System

There were times that some students had some concerns with the source of Reiki and the idea of
having Angels was more palatable for them.

This AngelReiki attunement therefore combines Angels and Reiki. The angels are incorporated
into the Reiki Attunement, and the Angels are called and requested to assist in the healing.

Angels are both a manifestation of the power of God as well as personifications of that power.
Most angels do not generally interact with humans unless specifically asked. Guardian Angels
are always with us, The Archangels take particular interest in humans, and assisting and
strengthening them.

The AngelReiki System is a way to connect to the loving healing power of the angels and with
the Reiki Source energy. AngelReiki can be learned as a stand-alone system, or as an adjunct to
regular Usui Reiki.

The system is generally taught as a one day class for those who are already Reiki Masters.
(Although there have been students who asked to teach them this system only). This description
however , assumes you already are a Reiki Master, so no extra explanation on Reiki nor its
symbols is given.

Use this system in healing just like Reiki.

You can use the traditional hand positions or you can ask the angels to guide your hands to the
appropriate position.

The Angels

There are four primary angels that are included in the system. Other angels that you have a
connection with can be incorporated into the attunement and the healing.

You generally add an Angel to work with you for one of two reasons:

~ First, you add those angels who you work with or who have made their presence known to you.
When an angel makes their presence known to you, they are there to help you learn the lesson
that they offer.

~ The second reason that you would add an Angel, is that you wish to try to develop within
you the quality or power that the Angel you wish to work with represents.

Angels are the loving messengers of God, they always come when you ask with a pure heart for
their assistance.

The four Archangels who work with the AngelReiki System are:

1. Raphael - Raphael means 'shining one who heals'.

St. Raphael is often shown holding a bottle of medicine. He is the guardian of the Tree of
Life in Eden, and the angel of the Sun. Raphael rules the Sun, the East and Air. Raphael
is considered to be a Seraph, however Raphael is also mentioned as being a member of
the cherubim, dominations and powers. He has been attributed as the head of the
guardian angels. His most notable appearance in scripture is his guiding of young Tobias
in the apocryphal book of Tobit where he teaches the boy about medicine and demon
exorcising among other things. In his role as healer, it is Raphael who eases the pain of
Abraham after his circumcision and who healed Jacob's thigh after Jacob wrestles with
another angel. He is considered to be a patron of the sciences as well as medicine,
teaching Noah how to construct the ark before the flood and teaching Solomon how to
bind demons into slave labor when Solomon's Temple was being built.

Raphael is an archangel that takes great interest in humans and helping those who ask.
Raphael helps us to be better healers. Raphael grants joy, healing, love, miracles and
grace. He inspires humankind to pray and guards and guides those who take outward or
inward journeys.

Raphael is associated with the Sei Hei Ki Symbol.

2. Gabriel - Gabriel means "power" or "hero".

Gabriel Rules the Moon, West, Water and the Cherubim. Gabriel is the governor of Eden
and the ruler of Cherubim. Gabriel is often described as a female angel with a lily in her
hand. The lore of the Annunciation of the birth of Christ to Mary is well- known. Gabriel
is the angel of resurrection, mercy, revelation, and death. Gabriel is often considered as a
slightly more benevolent spirit than her ally Michael. Another notable birth that Gabriel
presided over was that of john the Baptist when Gabriel came to Zacharias and told him
of his coming son.

Within all of the legends of birthing, Gabriel as been accredited as the angel who selects
souls from heaven to be birthed into the material world.

Gabriel is also the angel who came before Daniel and told him of the future as well as the
angel responsible for strengthening Christ prior to the Crucifixion. Gabriel is told as the
angel who struck down the cities of Sodom and Gommorah as well as other places of sin
throughout the aid Testament although she is never named there as such.

Gabriel is associated with the Cho Ku Rei symbol.

3. Michael - Michael means "Who is as God".

He is an angel of "The Last Judgment". He is the ''Weigher of souls" who decides where
people are sent for eternity: to Heaven, or to Hell. He is often described in wondrous
form with armor and swords, and is known as a dragon slayer. He defeated Satan, the
fallen angel, by the order of God. Michael is consistently the highest of the host in all
traditions. He is the leader of the celestial armies and is the angel who fought Satan
during the War and enchained the rebel leader. He is considered to be of the class of
seraphim, and yet is also head of other ranks within the hierarchy: the ruler of the
archangels, leader of the virtues, and head of the principalities in his role as protector of
Israel.

Michael is considered to be the angel of the burning bush through which God spoke to
Moses, and has also appeared in the book of Daniel, where God states him as being the
highest within the angelic ranks.

Michael grants miracles, fosters mercy, repentance, truth, sanctification, blessing,

immortality, patience and love to human-kind. This archangel is protective of those who
are just and good. He strengthens our spirits in difficult times. Pray to Michael for these
gifts and virtues. He carries the flaming sword of God.

Michael is associated with the Dai Ko Mio Symbol.

4. Uriel - Uriel means "the fire of God" or "the face of God"

He is seen holding a fiery sword at the gate of Eden. He watches over thunder and terror.
Uriel is identified as both a seraph and a cherub. Uriel is most well known for his role as
Regent of the Sun in the book of Revelation where he calls forth the birds of the air to
feast upon the fallen.

As one of the most faithful and dedicated members of the host, Uriel was also placed in
charge of Tartarus (another name for Hades), warned Noah of the impending flood
(although Raphael is credited with teaching the building of the ark), and attacked Moses
for failing to circumcise his son. Uriel is also the angel of the Third Eye, with seeing and
psychic knowing.

Uriel bestows upon us the gift of creative fire, as well as the power of prophecy.

We appeal to him for foresight into the future and for help in developing our psychic
abilities. Uriel is also an angel of transformation.

Uriel is associated with the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen.

The AngelReiki Use of the Reiki Symbols

The AngelReiki system does not add any symbols. What it does is include the Angels in the
healing, self-transformation, and attunement. The four Archangels Raphael, Gabriel, Michael,
and Uriel are the four main angels in this system. Other Angels may be added that you are
familiar with or work with.

The Usui Reiki symbols are the Cho Ku Rei, Sei Hei Ki, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, and Dai Ko Mio.
The angels that work with those symbols are Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Michael, respectively.

~ The Cho Ku Rei is the Power Symbol.

It represents the focus on the Reiki energy. Gabriel is the Angel of life and she who is as the
Power of God. Gabriel helps us to not only connect to the energy, but helps us to focus on our
lives and to bring us in line with the focus on the source of the energy. We are reminded that we
are empowered with this loving energy in our lives. We are called to be this presence in the
world.

~ The Sei Hei Ki is the Mental/Emotional Symbol.

It represents the harmony that is Reiki. Raphael is the Angel of healing, joy, miracles and grace.
Raphael helps us to find this emotional and spiritual harmony. Raphael, the great healer, blesses
us with healing our whole being.

~ The Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the Distant Symbol.

It represents the timeless connection to the loving source of all. Uriel represents the timelessness
of the connection to the source. When connected to the source the foresight, psychic gifts, and
transformation are all manifest.

~ The Dai Ko Mio is the Master symbol.

It is the empowerment and completion of the previous three symbols. This symbol represents the
great shining light and the light of enlightenment. Michael is the Archangel "who is as God".
Michael represents the miracles, mercy, repentance, truth, sanctification, blessing, and love that
are part of the light of God and enlightenment.

AngelReiki Prayers

In traditional Usui Reiki, there are the five precepts. AngelReiki respects the precepts developed
by the Meiji emperor that were used by Usui in Usui Reiki. In addition to the Usui Reiki five
Precepts, AngelReiki uses the practice of four prayers to the Archangels that they act with you to
bring about a change and transformation of the heart and mind that is truly healing.

These four prayers are easily memorized and can be used at any time to help keep the mind
focused on the loving Angels and the loving transformational power of God.

Preparation part:

~ Begin by sitting in a chair or cross-legged on the f1oor or couch.

~ Face the east.
~ Get comfortable and do not sit in a position that is uncomfortable.
~ Place you hands in the prayer position at about chest height.
~ Take some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Prayer part:

~ Say: “AH Holy Angels and Archangels, help me to bring about peace in all that I Am, so I
reflect the compassion and healing of God in all that I am and do”.

~ Say: “Raphael, Angel of the Sun, enter my center and give the fire of life to my whole body”.
Visualize the Sei Hei Ki in the air before you.

~ Say: “Gabriel, Angel of Life, enter my limbs and give strength to my whole body”. Visualize
the Cho Ku Rei in the air before you.

~ Say: “Michael, Angel of Earth, enter my generative organs and regenerate my whole body”.
Visualize the DKM in the air before you.

~ Say: “Uriel, Angel of Fire, enter my heart and transform me with the Love and
Fire of God and give fire of God to my whole body”. Visualize the HSZSN in the air before you.

~ Thank the angels for assisting you.

The Attunement Process

The attunement asks for the help of the four Archangels in doing the actual attuning. It is part
prayer. part interaction with the Angels. and part Reiki. The effect is always a loving. joyful and
beautiful experience. It personalizes the experience with the Angels who are with you always.
Whenever you draw the symbol. say the name of the Angel who works with that symbol to help
and assist you in placing the symbol.

The Attunement

Step 1

The preparation for the attunement involves asking the Archangels to be with you and aid in
performing the attunement.

1. Seat the student in a chair facing east.

2. Stand behind them facing east.

3. Ask the Archangels to surround you and assist in the attunement (or healing) and to
purify the room by saying:

“Holy Archangels assist me in clearing this space so that this attunement may perfectly
awaken in them the loving gift of healing.” (Christians may say the Our Father if they
desire.)

“With great respect, I ask the Archangel Raphael, Angel of Healing and of the Sun, to
stand before me to the east so this attunement be filled with joy, healing, love, miracles
and the Grace of God."

“With great respect, I ask the Archangel Gabriel, Angel of life and moon and the West, to
stand behind me so this attunement be filled with joy, mercy, understanding of mysteries,
truth, justice, miracles and the loving power of God.”

“With great respect, I ask the Archangel Michael, Angel who is as God and of the South,
to stand at my right so this attunement be filled with blessings, miracles, mercy, truth,
sanctification, and love to human-kind.”

For those who are Christian, you may wish to add, “With great respect, I ask that Christ
Jesus be with us so we are filled the love and compassion for all that we may be healers
for all the world.”

You may also wish to ask any other angels you work with to assist in the attunement.

4. Draw the Power Symbol on your palms, Crown and Heart Chakras, intending them to
open to the Reiki Source and Light.

5. Cleanse the room by drawing the four Reiki Symbols in the air in front of you.

6. On the receiver’s bank, draw the Cho Ku Rei with Gabriel. Draw it from slightly above
the top of the head and down the back of the student, ending at the base of the spine.

7. Place both hands on top of the head to get an energetic rapport with the student.

8. Bring your tongue to behind the teeth, and visualize the Reiki energy in front of you.
Breath it in deeply. Exhale while you look into the receiver' s Crown Chakra, blowing the
Cho Ku Rei symbol (pictured in gold) into the receiver' s Crown Chakra, and move it
through the middle of the student's head, into the base of the brain.

9. Say, “Gabriel, Angel of Life, assist me in placing this symbol of focus and empowerment.
Connect this soul with this loving energy.”

10. Repeat this with the Sei Hei Ki. This time say, “Raphael, Angel of Healing, assist me in
placing this symbol of harmony. Bring harmony and healing to body, mind and soul that
is the joy of God.”

11. Repeat this with the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This time say, “Uriel, Angel of the Fire of
God, assist me in connecting this soul to the prophesy and gifts that go beyond time and
space. Bring foresight and healing beyond space and time.”

12. Repeat this with the Dai Ko Mio. Say, “Michael, who is as God, assist me in
empowering this soul with the great shining light of enlightenment. Bring miracles,
mercy and blessing.”

13. Signal the student to raise their hands held in prayer position (gassho) to the top of
their head.

14. Again visualize the Reiki Ray energy in front of you (the light of God), and then breathe
in and exhale in a blowing way, using your blow to send the Cho Ku Rei symbol
(pictured in gold) into the hands, down into the Crown Chakra, through the head, and into
in the base of the brain saying, “Gabriel, Angel of Life, assist me in placing this symbol
of focus and empowerment. Connect this soul with this loving energy.”

(If doing a level II attunement, also add the Sei Hei Ki, and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen,
blowing the symbols over the hands into the crown. Remember to use the blessing of the
Angel associated with the symbol. If doing the Level III, also add the Dai Ko Mio and
the Archangel Michael.)

Part Two

1. Move to the front and place the student’s prayer-held hands in front of the heart.

2. Draw the Power Symbol in the air in front of the middle of forehead, moving into the
brow chakra (Third Eye). Guide it in with the hand if you want.

3. Say, “Gabriel, Angel of Life, assist me in placing this symbol of focus and empowerment.
Connect this soul with this loving energy.”

(For Level II, do the same with the Sei Hei Ki. saying “Raphael, Angel of Healing, assist
me in placing this symbol of harmony. Bring harmony and healing to body, mind and
soul that is the joy of God.” Repeat this with the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This time say,
“Uriel, Angel of the Fire of God, assist me in connecting this soul to the prophesy and
gifts that go beyond time and space. Bring foresight and healing beyond space and time.”)

(For Level III, repeat this with the Dai Ko Mio. Say, “Michael, who is as God, assist me
in empowering this soul with the great shining light of enlightenment. Bring miracles,
mercy and blessing.”)

4. Draw the Power Symbol in the air in front of the heart chakra. Then picture the Symbol
moving into the heart chakra. Say the name of the power symbol three times. Say
“Gabriel, Angel of Life, assist me in placing this symbol of focus and empowerment,
Connect this soul with this loving energy.”

(For Level II do the same with the Sei Hei Ki, saying “Raphael, Angel of Healing, assist
me in placing this symbol of harmony. Bring harmony and healing to body, mind and
soul that is the joy of God." Repeat this with the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This time say
“Uriel, Angel of the Fire of God, assist me in connecting this soul to the prophesy and
gifts that go beyond time and space, Bring foresight and healing beyond space and time.”)

(For Level III, repeat this with the Dai Ko Mio. Say “Michael, who is as God, assist me
in empowering this soul with the great shining light of enlightenment. Bring miracles,
mercy and blessing.”)

5. Position the student's prayer-held hands in front of the heart.

6. Hold the student's hands in your own.

7. Visualize the Power symbol entering the hands as the energy pours in. Say “Gabriel,
Angel of Life, assist me in placing this symbol of focus and empowerment. Connect this
soul with this loving energy.”

(Only the Power symbol is placed in the hands in level 1)

(For Level II do the same with the with the Sei Hei Ki, saying “Raphael, Angel of
Healing, assist me in placing this symbol of harmony. Bring harmony and healing to
body, mind and soul that is the joy of God.”)

8. Repeat this with the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This time say “Uriel, Angel of the Fire of God,
assist me in connecting this soul to the prophesy and gifts that go beyond time and space,
Bring foresight and healing beyond space and time.”

(For Level III repeat this with the Dai Ko Mio. Say “Michael, who is as God, assist me in
empowering this soul with the great shining light of enlightenment. Bring miracles,
mercy and blessing.”)

9. Bring the student's hands together in prayer position, and move them back in front of the
student's Heart.

10. Again, see in front of you the Reiki Ray energies, the light of God, and breath it in. Then
ask, either silently or out loud, the angels to join you in blowing over the hands, down to
the Solar Plexus, then up to the Third Eye and Crown, and back over the hands.

Part Three

1. Move behind the student. Place your hands on the student's head.

2. Use a positive affirmation and repeat it to yourself three times. Intend it to be accepted by
the student. (An example, “Blessed angels, fill this student with the love and light of
God, empowering them to heal, in all ways and at all times for the highest good and
purposes of all involved.”)

3. Visualize the light of heaven coming into the Crown of the student and filling them
completely with the light of God.

4. Move your hands to the student's neck, and then place the right hand on top of the head
and the left at the base of the skull.

5. Visualize a door and then draw the power symbol on it and see the door being closed.

6. Say to yourself, “I seal this Attunement with Divine Love and Wisdom.”

7. Intend that the Process is sealed and complete and the student is now forever connected
directly to the Reiki Source.

8. Say “You are now forever connected to the Reiki source.”

9. Place your hands on the student’s shoulders briefly experiencing the moment with them.

10. Say “We have both been blessed by this attunement.”

11. Finally say “In the presence of the Angels you are filled with the divine gift of healing.”

Your student(s) is (are) now attuned into the level of Reiki that you agreed upon and acted upon,
only now they are not only connected to the Reiki source but also to four special members of the
Angelic Kingdom.
