A summer holiday in an exquisite oasis that’s just a 10-minute ferry ride away.
Dance and enjoy 8 hours non-stop performances by international artists.
Beach, Mojito, Great food and Best music!!
Concept
In Spanish, “salsa” means sauce. The ingredients for making the festival so rich come not only from the
professional international and local musicians who fill the air with sounds that inspire even the
uninitiated to dance, but also from every person who comes to spice up and savour the feast of activities,
contributing to enriching the “sauce” of the festival. Whether you spend the day listening to music,
dancing, sampling a variety of food, gazing at unique artistic works, or just sun bathing, why not go there
and get stirred into another world!
The King of Latin Music, Juan Luis Guerra, won the Grammy award in the Best Tropical
Song category for “Bachata en Fukuoka” at the 11th annual Latin Grammys in 2010.
The first time he performed in Japan was on our stage at Isla de Salsa in 2009.
He composed this new song from the great memories of our festival in Fukuoka. At
the prestigious award ceremony in Las Vegas, the said he wanted to dedicate the
award to everyone in Fukuoka. This song has been heard around the globe now and
Fukuoka has come to the attention of world.
