interview regarding marriage equality. The Senator hadn’t yet taken a public position yet, so I did some research and
wrote down what was in my heart.
In preparing him for the question, I handed him a piece of paper that said marriage is about love and commitment,
which is why I support marriage equality.
Senator Wyden agreed and, in the interview, he became one of the first members of Congress to come out in favor of
marriage equality. I was especially proud to be a part of his team that day.
I have always been a proud ally for the LGBTQ+ community and proud to have worked for leaders like Senator Ron
Wyden.
