A SEMI- DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 10

I. OBJECTIVES
K -enumerate the different sources of information
S- identify the different sources of information whether it is primary
or secondary
A- show appreciation regarding the importance of the topic through
writing an essay, slogan, poster making

A. PREPARATION

- The teacher will group the student into 6


- Each group should select one representative
- Every group is given a picture and let them answer the following
questions written at the back of the paper
- After 3 minutes the group representative will come in front of the class
and present their answers.

B. PRESENTATION
* Let the groups answer the following questions:

GROUP 1- As a student like you does using a computer helpful to your


studies?
- What information you will get in using a computer?

GROUP 2- What are the usage of a letter?


-What information you will get in reading a letter?

GROUP 3 - Is it important to watch a television and listening a radio?


why or why not?
- What information we can get from it?

GROUP 4 - When and where we will use a dictionary?


- What information we can get in using a dictionary?

GROUP 5- Is it important to read a book?


- What information we can get in reading a book?

GROUP 6- When and where we will use a map?


III. PRACTICE
- Divide the students into two groups (same groups from the activity).
- Each group should select 10 representatives.
- Every group is given two flags (red and blue) blue flag should be at
the right hand and red flag in the left hand
- Every representative must identify the given pictures, whether it is
primary or secondary sources of information, the representative will
raise the blue flag if it is primary source and red flag if it is secondary
source.
- Those representatives who can raise their flag immediately will be the
one who can earn points (five points each correct answer).

IV.EVALUATION
GROUP 1 & 2- Write a three paragraph essay to which each paragraph
must have at least five sentences. Your essay must answer
the question, “How do these sources of information help in your
studies? How can you use it to well to cater your
educational need.

GROUP 3 & 4- Make a slogan about the importance of the different


sources of information.

GROUP 5 & 6- Make a poster based on the theme “ The Essence of the
Informational Sources”

V. ASSIGNMENT

Write down all the sources of information you can found in your
home and identify whether it is primary or secondary sources.
