Forming direction Upward.

Forming height 5 mm

Feed 1 – 2 mm

Direction of travel Opposite to the louver insert cutting surface of the die.

Clearance X direction: continuous


Y direction: min. 20 mm.

Note
Larger minimum clearances than those indicated here may have to
be used if significant distortion occurs in the workpiece, owing to
the sheet quality.
The tool may only be used from forming height.
The step on the punch serves as an alignment face.

“General tool data”.

Active die (option) Die height
On these machines, the die height must be entered in the tool data
of the control. The die height is measured from the underside of
the die plate to the highest point of the die.
Value 35 is valid for the die height.

Stroke types
The following stroke types can be selected for optimum use of the
tool:
 Punch without support position.
TruPunch 5000: The displayed value for the stroke type is 1.

Necessary options
Some tools can only be used with a special machine option such
as "active die".
For this tool, the applicable value is 0 = none.

Tool type 13 TruTops handles the continuous louver tool as a forming tool, tool
type 13, and it is supported starting with the following software
versions.
