Study Plane for Chinese Government Scholarship Application

I am really happy and appreciating this opportunity to apply at Dalian university of Technology
Liaoning Dalian. I would like to share some background information in support of my application for
English Taught Master’s Program in Computer Science.

Personal Introduction
My name is Irfan Ullah and I am from Lahore Pakistan. I have done Master degree in Information
Technology(M.Sc. IT) area of Specialization Master in Science and Information Technology from University
of Education, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. I was amongst the top ten students of my class of 120 students. I
have been, in the past, amongst the top rankers in the entrance tests conducted by the academic
institution of my education. My focus of interest is Computer Science and Information Technology.

I was an active student during my undergraduate studies, involved in many curricular and extracurricular
activities.

Currently, I am working in the Ebrain (Software Company )as a Software Engineer (Web Developer). My job
responsibilities are to take care of Website management. Also, I have hands on to Oracle 6i and 10g to
develop and implement new queries in the system. All above mentioned ERP forms and reports are based
on Oracle 6i and 10g. I have also completed an internship at opus Ltd, Lahore, Pakistan, where I gained
extensive knowledge about Front End development.

I would like to apply for the Master's Degree in Computer science in China. My industrial job experience
and past internship have given me a thirst for knowledge. My aim is to work in an international field related
to Computer Science. Therefore, I would like to gain deeper theoretical and practical knowledge in starting
and managing innovative projects, and I hope to be able to take part in maximizing my country’s
technology to benefit its economy and enhance the living standards of my compatriots.

I believe that this Master’s Program will provide me with the chance to get to know Computer systems and
affiliates me dedicatedly to the industries, which are living examples of the art of Computer Science. I hope
that I can gain more experience in dealing with situations, people, systems and demands which will be of
great help in my future career. I think that the chosen program will help me gain both the knowledge and
the experience in professional career, as well as fulfil my interests. After I complete the Master program, I
would like to start PhD studies to pursue further research in the same field.
My Personality:
By fact, I am socially active person with friendly nature, a good communicator indeed who is blessed with
many friends. I keep a keen view to the reality of life thus approach people with positive mind and attitude
and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that I always feel very
joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures. As such
meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in future also it makes things easy to
cope whether one works or studies in his own country or outside the country.

Reasons to study in China:

Now the question arises, "Why China?" China’s rapid economic growth and diverse technological
advancements are internationally recognized and are the main for people to study in China. On top of that,
education standards and the global ranking of Chinese universities are great reasons for choosing China as
the base for my continuing education. I have a few friends studying in China and they are full of admiration
for China and its universities, which is very encouraging Moreover, China’s diverse cultural values and
the friendly relationship between Pakistan and China make me feel as if China is my second home .My
family fully supports my choice of China for my further education. All these reasons put together make
China as an ideal place for me to do my Master’s degree.

I hope this application will receive your favourable consideration. I would consider it an honour if I could
study at Dalian university of Technology and assure you that I will put in my utmost efforts into this domain.
I am prepared to face any challenges and eager to seize every opportunity to grow.
