SARIMANOK SEAL OF EXCELLENCE IN CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

RATIONALE

The Curriculum Implementation Division of DepEd – Lanao del Norte crafted this
Classroom Structuring Standards to serve as a tool that guides school heads and teachers in
setting up a safe, orderly and conducive classroom for the total development of the learners.
Every classroom shall be suitably structured and decorated to make the surroundings
conducive to learning. The materials for structuring and decorating shall be selected on the basis
of their educational value providing opportunities for effective teaching-learning process to happen.
Its cleanliness and orderliness must be maintained as vital aspect in contributing to the educational
growth of the learners.
Thus, the standards set will also be the basis for giving due recognition/ awards.
This brochure is anchored to Educational Facilities Manual 2010 (Revised Edition of the
2007 Handbook on Educational Facilities Integrating Disaster Risk Reduction in School
Construction) Chapter 4, G. Regular Classroom Facilities, # 3 provided for the basis for Classroom
Structuring. Republic Act No. 8491 "An Act Prescribing the Code of the National Flag, Anthem,
Motto, Child-Friendly School System, DepEd Order No. 47 s. 2016 “Omnibus Policy on
Kindergarten Education”, Regional Memo. No. 15, 2013 “Guidelines on Classroom Structuring”.

OBJECTIVES

1. To have unified standards in setting up and evaluating classroom/TVL laboratory


workshop structuring.
2. To motivate teachers and school heads in following the standard classroom
structuring through reward system.
3. To provide a safe, orderly, and conducive classroom environment for the total
development of learners.

 First evaluation will be conducted on the last two days of the scheduled Brigada Eskwela
in May.
 Second evaluation will be during the semestral break in October.

C. Recognition/ Award
 The average rating of the pre and post evaluation results will be the basis for the giving
of awards as indicated below:
