PROJECT STATUS:-
Development of World Class Oceanarium at Mamallapuram
(Chennai), India

INTRODUCTION:-
AN OCENARIUM CAN BE A MARINE MAMMAL PARK AS WELL AS
LARGE AQUARIUM PRESENTING AN OCEAN HABBIT WITH MARINE
LIFE. AN AQUARIUM SIMULATES A WATER HABITAT;FOR INSTANCE A
RIVER LAKE OR SEA; BUT ONLY THE SUBMERGED AREA OF THESE
NATURAL HABITATS. “ISTABLISHMENTS WHERE COLLECTION OF
LIVING AQUATIC ANIMALS ARE EXIBITED OR STUDIED.”
OCENARIUM CONSISTS OF LOTS OF OCEAN SPECIES AT A PLACE. IT IS
SPECILLAY CONSTRUCTED FOR THE VISTORS WHO HAVE INTREST IN
SEEING THE OCEAN ANIMALS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. IT IS A
TOURIST ATTRACTION POINT.
AM OBJECT OR PLACE IN WHICH AQUATIC ANIMAL PARTICULARLY
OCEANIC, OR PELAGIC, FISHES AND MAMMALS. IT SERVES AS A
CENTRE FOR PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT AND EDUCATION AND
SCIENTIFIC STUDY . OCENARIUM IS LOCATED IN COSTAL AREAS.

AIM:-
RECREATAIONAL ACTIVITIES:
THE OCENARIUM WILL BE BUILT IN SUCH A WAY THAT
PEOPLE CAN ATTRACT TOWARDS IT AND KNOW ABOUT
THE SPECIES WHICH ARE FOUND IN THE OCEAN, RIVER,
ETC.IT ATTRACTS TO ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE, ALL AGE
PEOPLE TOWARDS ITSELF.
EDUCATION:
THE OCENARIUM WILL EDUCATE THE PEOPLE OF ALL
AGES TOWARDS THE MARINE AQUATIC LIFE,IT WILL
EDUCATE THE VISITORS TOWARDS THE IMPORTANCE OF
THE AQUATIC LIFE AND TOWARDS THE ENDANGERED
SPECIES IN WATER, AND HOW TO PROTECT THEM.

OBJECTIVE:-
INDIA IS ONE OF THE LARGEST PENISULAS IN THE WORLLD
WITH WATER SURROUNDING INDIA FROM 3 SIDES, THE
ARABIAN SEA TO THE WEST, THE INDIAN OCEAN TO THE
SOUTH AND THE BAY OF BENGAL TO THE EAST. INDIA HAS A
COASTLINE OF 7500KM. APART FOR THIS COASTLINE INDIA
IS WELL GIFTED WITH PERENNIALS WATER BODIES.
WITH SUCH A LARGE VARIETY OF BOTH MARINE AND
AQUATIC SPECIES, INDIA SHOULD TRY AND EXIHIBIT SUM
OF ITS MARINE SPECIES TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT THE
LARGE VARIETY OF MARINE LIFE INDIA POSSES, IT SHOULD
ALSO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF
TAKING CARE OF THE COUNTRIES MARINE LIFE.

SITE DISCRIPTION:-
The Government of Tamil Nadu, in an effort to augment
the Tourism potential of Mamallapuram has embarked
on a unique and novel concept of developing an
Oceanarium near Mamallapuram in PPP mode. Apart
from promoting tourism, the proposed project is
envisaged to provide facilities for propagating awareness
about marine environment and biodiversity.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that a
world-class Oceanarium with state of the art facility will
come up at a cost of about Rs 253 Crores at
Mamallapuram through State Fisheries Department
under PPP mode. The Public Private Partnership project
will highlight the marine tropical resources.

Project Information:-
The proposal is to establish an Oceanarium in the 15 acres
nominated site at Mahabalipuram in PPP mode. The Oceanarium
apart from its commercial and educational supremacy will have
alliances with the Universities and Marine Biology Research Centers
to undertake marine biological research projects in collaboration
with similar reputed centers around the world. Oceanarium is a
massive center for marine education and entertainment whereas
aquarium is one or few standalone tanks in display with fresh or
marine water exhibits. The meticulously created SeaWorld will have
thousands of marine species, collected from the Ocean, moving
amidst corals and reef just like they live in Ocean for all to see. The
creation will include an artificial ocean enabling people to walk
under the water through an acrylic tunnel, directly experiencing the
unique wonders available at the bottom of the ocean, without
getting wet.
The Oceanarium is a complex adventure providing visitors, of all
ages with entertainment, enjoyment and education. Each facility has
a number of entertainment and educational attractions, which
transform short visits in to memorable occasions. As this facility will
become a “MUST SEE” for all visitors and locals to the place of
establishment. This attraction mentally and visually removes the
viewing public from their everyday environment and transports
them to the bottom of the ocean. The transformation is started at
the moment of entry into the main exhibition lobby. Strategic and
suitable displays, exhibits, touch pools; Oceanarium, dangerous
creatures and marine artifacts entice the visitor through the pre-
determined route on the journey to the main Oceanarium tank of
thousands of marine animals and plants with its submerged acrylic
tunnel. The proposed SEAWORLD Complex shall incorporate a large
Oceanarium of many millions of litres of processed water
surrounding the walk - through acrylic tunnel. Within the tank a
complete marine ecosystem shall be established where the
rockwork and general layout of the tank reflects ocean conditions,
giving visitors a clear understanding of the marine environment.

REQUIREMENT
INDOOR FACILITIES IN AIR-CONDITIONED BUILDING:( AREA OF 8 ACRES)
1. TUNNEL AQUARIUM WITH THE LENGTH OF 150M MINIMUM OF
WHICH NON-ACRYLIC TUNNEL IS 25M+25M AND ACRYLIC TUNNEL
IS 100M WITH 270° AND 360° VIEWING AND THE ACRYLIC PORTION
SHOULD BE WITH POSSIBLE MOVING WALKWAY.
2. SMALL TANK DISPLAY:50NOS MINIMUM
3. WALL MOUNTED DISPLAY INCLUDING DISPLAYS IN THE NON-
ACRYLIC TUNNEL IS 60 NOS MINIMUM IN DIFFERENT SIZE
ACCORDING TO SPACE AVAILABILITY
4. CYLINDRICAL TANK SHOULD BE FIVE NUMBERS WITH A VERY HUGE
ONE IN THE CENTER OF THE AQUARIUM LOBBY GOING UPTO 9M
HEIGHT
5. TOUCH POOL FIVE
6. PROVISION FOR SWIMMING WITH SHARK, SCUBA DIVING AND
FEEDING.
7. BIG SOUVENIR SHOP-2
8. SPECIAL EFFECT MULTIMEDIA THEATER WITH 300 SEATING
CAPACITY FOR SHOWING WONDERS OF OCEAN AND OTHER
MARINE BASED EDUCATIONAL MOVIES. WILL ALSO HAVE TIE-UP
WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY AND DISCOVERY CHANNELS FOR
REGULAR ADVENTUROUS UNDERWATER SHOWS.

PROVISION TO HAVE AUDIO VISUAL SHOW

NOTE:-
15 acres of land which we could use only 8 acres for construction
and the balance 7 acres we may use for the purpose for which no
construction is required. In other words, as per Costal Regulation
Zone Act, we cannot do any civil construction upto 200m from HTL
of Ocean and so we may use the 7 acres that falls in CRZ1 Request
for Expression of Interest for Establishment of Oceanarium at
Mamallapuram in PPP Basis 2014 Department of Fisheries Page 8
Zone (200m from HTL of Ocean) only for fish stocking, game
fishing, laser show, Amphi Theatre, Tortile Park etc that do not
require civil construction above the ground.

RAILWAY STATION
PROJECT STATUS:-
REDEVELOPMENT AND PRIVATALIZATION OF INDIA’S FIRST RAILWAY
STATION, HABIBGANJ (MADHYA PRADESH), India

INTRODUCTION:-
PRIVATE RAILWAY STATIONS WERE A LOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE
RAPID GROWTH IN RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION DURING THE 19TH
CENTURY. WHEREAS FINANCIERS LOOKED TO PLACE THEIR STATIONS
SO AS TO BALANCE THE COST OF THE CONSTRUCTION WITH
EXPECTED REVENUE FROM THE NEARBY POPULACE, WEALTHY
PEOPLE UTILISED THIS NEW MODE OF TRANSPORT BY CREATING A
HALT SOLELY FOR THE USE OF THEIR FAMILY, GUESTS AND STAFF.

AIM:-
TO PROVIDE A RAILWAY STATION ON INTERNATIONAL BASIS HAVING
ALL TYPES OF FUNCTION AND ABILITIES IN IT. IT IS DESIGNED LIKE AN
AIRPORT HAVING ALL TYPES OF MECHANICAL FASCILITIES LIKE LIFT,
ESCALLATORS, ETC

OBJECTIVE:-
AT THE PRESENT TIME THE RATE OF LAND IS INCREASES UP AND WE
SEE THAT THE AREA AROUND THE RAILWAY STATION IS WASTING. SO
AFTER PRIVATELIZATION THE ARE WHICH IS NOT USED BY THE
RAILWAY IS USED AS A MALL. MULTIPEX, SHOPS ETC.
IT ALSO BECOME THE ATTRACTION CENTRE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO
LEAVE AT THAT PLACE FOR THE MARKETTING.
THE REVENUE WHICH IS GENERATED BY THE GOVERNMENT AFTER
PRIVATELIZATION IS USED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RAILWAY
STATION AND ALSO IT INCREASES THE PROFIT OF THE INDIAN
RAILWAY.

METHODOLOGY:-
IN IT ALL TYPES OF AMINITIES IS PROVIDED SUCH AS RAILWAY
STATION, SHOPS, KIOSKS, ETC. IN THE STATION PROPER ELEVATOR
LIFTS,ESCALLATORS, ETC ARE PROVIDED FOR MAKING THE PUBLIC
TRAVELLING EASY. IT IS SO HUGE THAT THE INCREASING OF THE
POPULATION CAN’T DISTURB ITS MOVEMENT AREA.
ON THE UPPER FLOOR MALLS ARE MADE BECAUSE AT THE PRESENT
TIME THE UPPER PART OF THE RAILWAY STATION IS TOTALLY WASTED.
SO FOR DECREASING THIS WASTE AND USING THAT AREA MALL AND
OTHER MARKET AREA IS MADE. IT IS DESIGNED AS AN
INTERNATIONAL LEVEL WHICH ALSO ATTRACT THE FOREIGN TOURIST
TOWARD IT.
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION WHICH IS TAKEN BY
OUR GOVERNMENT TO USE THE WASTE AREA.

SITE DISCRIPTION:-
Habibganj railway station (Station Code: HBJ) is a railway station
in Bhopal City and part of the West Central Railway. It is located
in Habibganj, New Bhopal. It is India’s first private railway station

Habibganj station is the first railway station to be redeveloped


through public private partnership mode under the station
redevelopment program of Indian Railways. Total Estimated cost of
works towards station redevelopment is Rs 100 Cr and estimated cost
towards commercial development is approx. Rs 350. Cr. Letter of
Acceptance dated 07.6.2016 has been issued to the Selected
Developer i.e Consortium of M/s Bansal Construction Works Pvt. Ltd.,
(Lead Member) and M/s Prakash Asphaltings & Toll Highways (India)
Ltd. (Consortium Member)). Concession Agreement is likely to be
signed within a month. The lease for commercial development is for
45 years and licence period for station O & M is for three years of
construction followed by 5 years of O & M.

1. THE STATION HAS BEEN DESIGNED AS A MULTI MODEL
TRANSIT HUB, AFTER EXAMINING KEY INTERNATIONAL CASE
STUDIES ON STATION DEVELOPMENT AND ALSO PROPERTY
DEVELOPMENT WERE LOOKED ACROSS THE GLOBE TO PUT
INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARKS AND BEST PRACTICES AT
OPTIMUM COSTS.
2. THE STATION WILL HAVE CENTRAL AIR SPACE CONCOURSE OF
84M LONG AND 36M WIDE EQUIPPED WITH AMENITIES FOR
WAITING AND SEATING. THIS SHALL ENSURE MINIMAL
CONGESTION AND LOADING ON PLATFORMS TO AVOID ANY
MISHAPS OR OVERCROWDING.
3. TO AVOID ANY CHANCE OF MISHAPS OR STAMPEDE
SCENARIO, THERE WILL BE COMPLETE SEGREGATION BETWEEN
ARRIVING AND DEPARTING PASSENGERS. A SMOOTH FLOW OF

ENSURE ITS ADHERENCE. PROVISION OF 6 NOS. LIFTS, 11 NOS.
ESCALATORS AND 3 NOS. TRAVELATORS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR
EASY ACCESS TO PLATFORMS AND CONCOURSE.
5. TO ENSURE SEAMLESS FLOW OF PASSENGERS IN ALL-
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BETTER PASSENGER MOVEMENT,
TWO UNDERPASSES OF 4M EACH PROVIDED FOR ARRIVING
PASSENGER.
6. THE STATION WILL HAVE DEDICATED APPROACH ROADS FOR
TRAFFIC TO RAILWAY STATION ALONG-WITH MUNICIPAL ROADS
WITH ITS INTEGRATION IN CIRCULATING AREAS. THIS SHALL
ENSURE EASY INGRESS/EXIT ALONG WITH CONVENIENT
PARKING PROVISIONS WITHOUT CREATING A TRAFFIC BLOCK
AND CONGESTION ON THE CITY ROADS.

7. STATION WILL HAVE DEDICATED PICK UP AND DROP OFF PARKING
FACILITIES FOR THE STATION USERS. PROVISION OF PARKING FOR
APPROXIMATE 300 CARS, 850 TWO WHEELERS, RICKSHAWS, TAXI &
BUSES HAVE BEEN MADE.
8. STATION SHALL BE OPERATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE PRIVATE
SECTOR CONCESSIONAIRE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF IRSDC WITH
AN ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION OR A SUBSTITUTE THEREOF FOR ALL
THE PASSENGER AMENITIES AT THE STATION AREA.
9. PHASED DEVELOPMENT APPROACH UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE
REVAMPING AND CAPACITY ADDITION IN A MODULAR DEVELOPMENT
WAY AT A LATER PERIOD OF TIME WHEN PASSENGER/STATION USERS
INCREASE.
10. STATION WILL COMPLY WITH NFPA (NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION
ACT) TO MITIGATE ANY SUCH FIRE MISHAP AT A PUBLIC PLACE.
11. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, STATION PREMISES IS PLANNED TO BE
EVACUATED IN 4 MINUTES AND PASSENGERS CAN REACH RESPECTIVE
DESIGNATED POINTS OF SAFETY IN 6 MINUTES.
12. EXTENSIVE REUSE OF WATER IS PLANED WITH ZERO DISCHARGE
TECHNOLOGY BEING PUT INTO PLACE FOR SEWAGE SYSTEMS.
APPROXIMATELY 6800 SQM IS IDENTIFIED FOR SOFT LAND SCAPING
AND 7300 SQM FOR HARD LAND SCAPING.
13. TO ENSURE CLEANER ENERGY FROM RENEWABLE AND NON-
CONVENTIONAL ENERGY, PROVISIONS FOR SOLAR ENERGY
GENERATION IS PROVIDED IN STATION. ADEQUATE PROVISION OF
RAINWATER HARVESTING HAS BEEN MADE AT IDENTIFIED LOCATIONS.
14. SERVICES LIKE RAILWAY OPERATIONS INCLUDING TRAIN
MOVEMENT CONTROL, PARCEL, OHE ELECTRIC TRACTION, SIGNALLING
& TELECOM, STABLING OF TRAINS, TICKETING ETC WHICH ARE KEY
RAILWAY OPERATIONS SHALL BE OUTSIDE THE SCOPE.
