Consultant must be immediately informed of the discrepancy in writing, and the Consultant shall re-confirm
the structural integrity and serviceability of the structure. Otherwise, the Consultant shall relinquish all
responsibility pertaining to the structural integrity of the tower members. And, in no event or case shall the
Consultant be liable to anyone for special, collateral, incidental or consequential damages in connection with
or arising from unauthorized modification of tower configuration, overloading, construction failure due to
inferior materials used during construction and poor workmanship by the contractor on record and all other
conditions not covered in the given technical specifications.

- The existing supporting concrete columns have the structural adequacy to carry the
additional loads imposed by the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure and proposed
Outdoor Equipments/Pad.
- The existing supporting concrete beams have the structural adequacy to carry the
additional loads imposed by the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure and proposed
Outdoor Equipments/Pad.
- The existing supporting concrete slabs have the structural adequacy to carry the
additional loads imposed by the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure and proposed
Outdoor Equipments/Pad after the completion of the proposed retrofitting solution
provided in the calculation and drawings.
However, any further loads applied on the building that are not included in the above stated
loadings as reflected on the conceptual design plans shall be beyond the scope and responsibility of
the undersigned.
There was no actual material testing (re: rebar scanning, coring test, etc.) conducted.
Conservatively, the compressive strength of the concrete and steel yield strength used in the
evaluation of the existing structure were 21 MPa and 414 MPa respectively.

POLE ANALYSIS
1. GENERAL
The general method used to analyze this mounting steel frame structure is based on structural
program module in structural analysis known as STAADPRO Program. The program implores a
computerized three-dimensional direct element stiffness matrix method.
With this program module, the tower structure is analyzed as a three-dimensional space subjected
to the wind loads, antenna and bracket loads and self-weight of the pole.
Various STAADPRO outputs can be retrieved on a completed analyzed structure. However, outputs
are limited to the most critical load variations and structural code-checking such as the AISC code-
checking, member end forces, type of material used, joint coordinates, member incidences, member -
critical condition, support reaction list and graphical print output.

BUILDING
STRUCTURAL
INVESTIGATION
The 3m FM Pole with Enclosure structure will be mounted on the concrete slab, column and beam
of the existing ROLAND TANEDO’S Building, Herrera St. 355 Zone 36 Sta. Cruz Metro Manila. The
building is a Three- story reinforced concrete structure with its upper roof deck level where the 3m
FM Pole with Enclosure structure are to be erected. The building has an overall elevation of 14.48m
above ground level.
In view of the additional loads from the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure structure and its base
support on the concrete column and beam of existing building, this report shall limit the
investigation analysis to the immediately affected structural elements of the existing building where
the existing tower structure will be mounted and will further provide a structural investigation and
evaluation of these immediate structural elements (particularly the concrete column and beam) of
the existing building whether the proposed additional loadings can be sustained by them. As a
reference to analyze and investigate the structural adequacy of the affected structural elements of
the building, as-built / construction drawings as verified by ocular inspection were provided. There
were no actual material testing (i.e. coring test or rebound hammer, rebar scanning, etc.)
conducted during the ocular inspection; however, conservatively, concrete compressive strength of
f’c = 21 MPa and reinforcing bars minimum specified yield strength of fy = 414 MPa are used in the
analysis and investigation based on the as-built drawing provided.
The following is the design criteria considered in the structural stability investigation and evaluation
of the structure of the existing Warehouse Building.

▪ Loading Combinations
The following load combinations shall be used during its service bad condition.
Load Combinations

▪ Additional loadings from reactions of the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure. See
Enclosure support reaction.
Generally, the building structural modeling shall be analyzed based on the principle of limit state
concept. However, in this report, the limit state conditions will be limited to strength and
displacement requirements.
Methodology. A comprehensive limit state design approach will be used. Factored load
combinations will consider cases where continuously acting loads are both disadvantageous and
advantageous, with load factors adjusted as appropriate.
Where appropriate, the following computer program will be employed:
▪ STAADPro - Two-dimensional / three- dimensional finite element analysis
▪ Customized spreadsheet programs developed by the designer in conformity with the
requirements of the applicable code.
The analysis of the structure will follow standard rational code procedures.
The building structure, specifically the roof deck framing, shall be analyzed as a three-dimensional
space frame – GRID FRAME - subjected to both gravity loads and primarily to reaction loads
obtained from the cabin structure in accordance with the applicable code of practice.
The general method used to analyze this building structure is based on structural program
module in structural analysis known as STAADPro 2007 Program. The program implores a
computerized three-dimensional direct element stiffness matrix method. With this program
module, the structure is analyzed as a three-dimensional space subjected to the tower reaction
and its base support reaction loads, self-weight of the structural elements, superimposed dead
and live loads and derived loads as the case may be.
As a summary and the intended objective of this report, the following OUTPUT shows
the investigation of the immediately affected structural members of the building and their
respective behavior for the additional loads from the 3m FM Pole with Enclosure structure and
outdoor equipments and concrete pad.

Under these loads from the proposed 3m FM Pole with Enclosure structure mounted on the concrete
columns and beams, additional stresses are obviously induced in the affected structural members
of the existing building structure. In the structural analysis made in this report which considered
the combination of various loads as defined in the design criteria, it is therefore concluded that the
immediately affected members of the roof deck of the existing building that will carry the 3m FM
Pole with Enclosure, and Outdoor Equipment/Pad are STRUCTURALLY ADEQUATE to carry the
additional loads in the concrete slab.
This EVALUATION REPORT has been prepared based on the site inspection and the relevant
information and data provided to the undersigned. It is the responsibility of the building owner or
any other responsible party to ensure that the building is in good working condition and that the
data received for this building are accurate and correct. The conclusion and recommendation
contained in this report pertain only to the computer analysis of the affected immediate supporting
members of the structure and its load carrying capacity.
