Two recent passport size color photos (not older than 6 months)
Passport not older than 10 years
Passport’s validity minimum 90 days from the date of expiry of the requested Visa
Two blank opposite Visa pages
UAE visa valid at least 90 days from the date of the expiry of the requested Schengen Visa
Local sponsor’s letter (N.O.C.)
Proof of financial means:
 Personal or parents’ bank statement of the last 3 months (original or copy stamped
by the bank)
 Copy of personal and/or parents’ credit card
Acceptance/admission letter from the University/College stating the following details:
 Duration of course
 Type of course (subjects undertaken)
 Teaching language of study (English or Italian)
In case of teaching language being in Italian, please provide proof of basic certificate of
knowledge of Italian i.e. Language certificate.

Receipt proof, deposit or full payment of the course fee from the University/College.
Proof of accommodation whether on campus or alternate lodging.
Return air ticket reservation.
Medical travel insurance
 minimum coverage of Euro 30,000
 inclusive of repatriation flight
Photocopies of:
 Passport
 Applicant’s UAE Visa
 Previous Schengen, USA, UK, Canada, Japan Visas
Note: Students must be over 14 years of age.
In case of a minor travelling unaccompanied we require:
 Application signed by both parents
 Affidavit signed by both parents and parents’ passport’s copy
 Birth certificate with father and mother’s name

I have been informed that an application without a complete set of documentation according to the above mentioned checklist may
result in a rejection of my visa application. Besides, the Embassy of Italy Abu Dhabi reserves the right to ask for any additional
supporting document; however this does not guarantee the issue of Visa.
