By using any of the Runge-Kutta second order method, compute the concentration of the heavy metals after 6 weeks, by considering the beginning exposure time as 0 week. The differential equation of the concentration is given by the following equation. ec) + 0,06C=0 at o where Cis the heavy metal concentration level (partim*) tis the time (weeks) Use the step size of 1.5 week for the computation, (15 marks) b) Figure Q2(b) shows a schematic diagram of combined pad footing and its loadings. The combined pad footing is imposed by an uplift earth pressure which has been converted to a uniformly distributed load of 904 kN/m and two column loads at point B of 1720 kN and C of 2440 KN. The moment equation for segment BC of range 0.54 < x < 3.54 mis given as follows: Mgo= 452x*- 1720x+928.8 1720 kN 2440 KN 904 kN/im 0.54 m 3.0m 1.06 m Figure Q2(b) Determine the position of distance, x, where the value of the bending moment is 10% from the maximum negative moment given by Msc equation using the Bisection method. Perform the iteration until the approximate relative error, €. falls below 1%. (10 marks) (© Hak Cipta Universiti Teknologi MARA CONFIDENTIAL
