Work Experience
America Reads Tutor
01/2016 to present
As an America Reads tutor, I have worked in several elementary school classrooms as a teacher’s assistant, performing
such duties as one-on-one tutoring with students, grading papers, helping with field trips, and creating lesson plans.
Through this job, I have worked with students from kindergarten to sixth grade, often working with the same group of
children for several years. This job has shown me firsthand the workload of a primary school educator and given me
experience filling in some of these roles.

Westminster College Writing Center Consultant (Internship)

01/2018 to 05/2018
As a writing center consultant, I worked one-on-one with college students to help them improve their writing skills by
assessing their essays and other school assignments. This job required not only great interpersonal skills but also a
mastery of writing skills and reading comprehension. Being able to communicate complex ideas was essential to being
successful during this internship.

Little Griffins Assistant Coordinator and Mentor

The Little Griffins program is an offshoot of Westminster’s Walkways to Westminster program, a college-access
program done in a partnership with Promise South Salt Lake; Little Griffins is specifically for instilling college-going
goals in underrepresented sixth graders. As coordinator, I was responsible for planning college-oriented weekly
activities as well as planning field trips and end-of-year events. I was also responsible to coordinating mentors and
pairing them with their sixth graders and ensuring that all the mentors met Little Griffins standards for work ethic and
handled any concerns regarding scheduling or the sixth graders’ behavioral issues.

Education
Westminster College
08/2015 to 05/2019
Graduated from Westminster College with a BA in English Literary Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. I
strive to embody and portray Westminster’s learning goals: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication
and global responsibility. I believe being active in my community, especially in local elementary and high schools, is
the best way to live up to these goals set by Westminster.
