Lesson Outline Materials


Elicit ( Access prior knowledge)
. Recall previous lesson by "4 pics 1 word" (pictures of different cells, tissues,
organs and systems) pictures
. A set of pictures will be shown and the learners will provide the right word projector,
that captures the essence of the set of pictures
Engage ( Get the students' minds focused on the topic)
. The class will be divided into small groups and pictures of cell organelles will
shown. Let each group try to guess what's the picture all about ( Picture analys pictures

Explore ( Provide the students with a common experience)
Comparing plant and animal cells by "Venn Diagram" Manila
. Each group will be given factsheets and photos on the different organelles of paper,

. The learners will familiarize structure/appearance of each organelle by masking
referring it on the given factsheets. After which, identify the similarities and tape
differences in both cells, including the function of each organelle.
