Reduce Order Models (ROMs), thermal management,
and customization in fast growing area of automotive and
electronics Industry. He did his master’s degree in Thermal
Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has two
patents and multiple conference publication in reputed
conferences.
Dr. S. A. Patil: Dy. General Manager, ARAI Academy,
Pune. He has his Ph.D. from University of Texas at
Dallas. He has academic and research experience of
15+ years in the varied domain of speech under
stress, speaker variability under stress, adult-child

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES
The world is moving towards Electric Mobility and India is in the
process of working on a clear cut policy through FAME II. The
Electric Vehicle (EV) technology is still evolving and needs
charging infrastructure. However, Japanese companies are
advocating hybrid vehicles, which will not require extensive
charging infrastructure. In a planned ecosystem, there is space
for co-existence for all the technologies, leading to diversity. By
2026, there would be sale of 30 % Electric Vehicles (EVs) and
Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs).
ARAI has inaugurated Center of Excellence in Electric Mobility
this year and has signed MoU with VelTech for initiating M. Tech.
programme in Electric & Hybrid Vehicles (E&HV) from June 2020.
