Abstract
PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk. is one of Badan Usaha Milik Negara or BUMN that's really popular.
PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk. now has more than 530 types of products whose production and
marketing standards are in accordance with the regulations of Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan or
BPOM. Each product unit has a Nomor Izin Edar or NIE as proof of standardization from BPOM. NIE
management process cannot be easy, it starts one year before the expiration period expires. This is
based on a number of things including the repetition of evaluation of completeness documents both
internally and externally (with BPOM), late delivery of completeness documents by the Plant or other
data sources, and the variety of formats of completed documents sent. With the number of products
available and the constraints faced, the process for NIE management is very much time consuming and
labor intensive. The purpose of this study is to produce an analysis and design of the system that the
system functions as the main system for NIE management. This research RAD or Rapid Application
Development as a method and UML or Unified Modeling Language as tools. The results of this
research are that NIE management will focus on one master system, a warning about the progress of the
NIE submission that can reduce the time and effort, and all matters relating to the NIE will be recorded
in the database.
