CROSS VENTILATION

One form of wind ventilation, it is a natural method of cooling. This involves wind
entering through a vent (or a window or door)and allowing air to flow directly through
the house and out through an opening on the other side of the home. The circulation of
fresh air through open windows, doors or other openings on opposite sides of a room. When
wind flows into the side of the building, each side of the building is hit with different
amounts of pressure. Its success depends on the tightness of the building envelope – the
physical separator between the interior and the exterior environments of a structure. is
generally it is the most effective form of wind ventilation. It is effectively free and
will ensure a building is properly cooled. There are no mechanics or electronics to be
maintained and it is possible to prevent excess moisture and heat building up in ceiling
cavities. It is one of the most important aspects to improve the Indoor
Environmental Quality and should be kept into mind while designing the plans .

SUNSHADING DEVICES

Vertical Sun Shades - are generally used on the East-Facing and West- Facing Sides of a
building. To improve the isolation value of glass in winter months by acting as
windbreak. . Growing more popular in new building design due to their aesthetic quality and
sun control functionality. And it can be easily incorporated into any curtainwall system
that is designed to tie into any window jamb condition and can be easily incorporated
into designs also featuring cantilevered or horizontal sunshades.

Eggcrate types - Marry the best part of both sunshades and architectural grilles. It is
the combination of horizontal and vertical shades, mostly made out of concrete or
aluminum. It is an economical way creating a shading / sun-control device that can be
mounted to virtually any structure and it is a excellent way to match other architectural
grille elements of the structure. This device works well with walls

WHITE ROOFING

A white roof is painted with solar reflective white coating and reflects up to 90% of
sunlight (as opposed to traditional black roofs which reflect only 20%). A white roofs
are a lot more than just white paint! White roofs' benefits are measured partly according
to the solar reflectance index, or SRI. white roof maintains a temperature cooler than
that of the outside air. As well as reducing your energy costs, white roofing requires
less care and maintenance. Supposedly, painting your roof white has many benefits.
Because the color white reflects heat, less heat is absorbed by the house. Thus,
lower energy bills. Not only that, you get to save the planet
