the various regions by understanding the elements and principles.

Presents a form of contemporary art based on the region of
his/her choice. e.g. choreography, musical instruments, literary
and music composition, visual designs and /or theatrical
performance.

I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to;
a. Identifies various contemporary art forms;
b. Applies the different techniques in the different fields of art,
c. Classifies various art forms found in the Philippines,
d. Appreciates the various art forms in the Philippines;
e. Create an artwork depicting the contemporary arts..

II. Subject Matter:


Topic: INTEGRATIVE ARTS AS APPLIED TO CONTEMPORARY ART (Different art
and forms: Painting and Prints)
Materials: Laptop, TV, Scoring Rubric for Performances, Speakers, Microphone, Visual
aids

III. Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Review of the previous topic

B. Lesson Proper
a. Motivation
“Thought to Ponder”
(Share your insights and interpretation)
Instructions:
 Tell the students to write as many as they can when they hear the word
“Visual Arts”. The activity will help them to identify what are the art forms
and designs.
After they have answered the activity, in 5-10 minutes; group the students
and tell them to share and make a summary of all their answers.

b. Activity
Experiential Phase
The teacher will let the students to present their work in the class and evaluate.
The activity is the introduction of identifying the various visual arts.
Visual arts (elements, techniques, etc.)
 Paintings
 Prints
The students share their ideas in explaining the historical context, cultural
traditions processes and productions and the teacher will reinforced students’
answers.

Contemporary art encompasses many different art forms, from traditional
media such as paintings and drawings to more recently develop approaches that
use digital and time based media to create works that incorporate both sound
and image.
 Painting
The expressions of ideas and emotions, with the creation of certain
aesthetics qualities in two-dimensional visual language
 Brief history of painting
1. Artistic painting were introduced to the Filipinos in 16th century
when Spaniards arrived in the Philippines
2. Spaniards used paintings as propaganda to spread catholism
in the Philippines
3. In the early 19th century wealthier, educated Filipinos
introduced more secular Filipino art, causing the art in the
Philippines to deviate in religious motifs

e. Application

“Paint me a Picture”
“(Pre-painting)”
Instructions:
In 10-20 minutes, students will create a pre- painting based from their
perspective;
And after that they will present their work in the class.
The teacher will use scoring rubrics.

e. Each category is 25 points.

C. Evaluation

The teacher will conduct a short assessment and will provide a questionnaire.
Instructions:
 The teacher will remind the students “NO CHEATING”; and
 Let the students prepare their pens only
