Praise for the presence of God Almighty, because of His mercy this writing can be
completed well. So the writer can complete a paper about Strategic Maganement.

This paper has been compiled by the author based on the knowledge the author obtained
from several books in the hope that people who read can understand about strategic
management, six steps in strategic management and the main types of strategic management.

Finally, the author realizes that the writing of this paper is far from perfect. Therefore,
the authors expect constructive criticism and suggestions to improve the publication of this

PRELIMINARY

1.1 BACKGROUND

Strategy management is the highest management activity that is usually compiled by


the board of directors and carried out by the CEO and executive team of the organization.
Current management strategies must provide the basic foundation or guidelines for decision
making in the organization. The world environment that undergoes changes such as
globalization, community control, technological development, has an impact on the
development of a country and business. To make money company only focuses on whether
customers will value what the company is providing and whether the company can make any
money doing that .

1.2 PURPOSE

1. To know why management strategy is so important in business


2. To know what the six-steps process on strategic management
3. To know what the main type of strategic management

2.1 STRATEGIC MANGEMENT SO IMPORTANT

Why strategic management so imprtant? Management so important because it can make


a difference in how well an organization performs, the fact that managers in organizations
of all type and sizes face continually changing situations. They cope with this uncertanty
by using strategic management process to examine relevant factors and decide what
actions to take, because organizations are complex and diverse.

2.2 SIX STEPS IN THE STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

a. Identify the organization’s current mission, goals, and strategies


b. Doing an external analysis
c. Doing an internal analysis
d. Formulating strategies after completing the SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunity,
threath) analysis
e. Implementing strategies
f. Evaluating resulth

2.3 CORPORATE STRATEGY

Corporate strategy is one that determines what business a company is in or wants to be


in, and what it wants to do with those businesses.Three main type of corporate strategies:

a. A growth strategy is when an organization expands the number of market served or


product offered, either through its current business.
b. A stability strategy is a corporate strategy in which an organization continues to do
what it is currently doing.
c. Renewal strategies is a strategy that can be used when organizational is in trouble,
something needs to be done.

2.4 COMPETITIVE STRATEGY

Competitive strategy is a strategy for how an organization will compare in its busness.
Michael Porter was explaining how managers can create a suisatanable competitive
advantage, which is done using the five forces model:

a. Threat of new entrans


b. Theat of subtitutes
c. Bargaining powers of buyers
d. Bargaining power of suppliers
e. Current rivalry

2.5 FUNCTIONAL STRATEGY

The functional strategies is a strategies used by an organization’s various


functional departments to support the competitive strategy. There current strategic
management issues:

a. The need for strategic leadership it’s the ability to anticipate, envision, maintain
flexibility, think strategically, and work with other in the organization to initiate
changes that will create a viable and valuable future for the organization.
b. The need for strategic flexibility that is the ability to recognize major external
changes, to quicky commit resources, and to recognize when a strategic decision isn’t
working.
c. Important organizational strategies for today’s environment is e-business strategies,
customer service strategies, innovation strategies.

DISCUSSION

What management strategies are obtained from the intern movie?

When jules were conducting editing meetings because their company website "about the
fit" had reduced visitors, it also took the initiative so that the main image of the website was
edited and the writing enlarged so that it could be seen by all people and when Cameron
proposed looking for a CEO because investors felt Jules was lacking skilled in managing the
company to be faster and in this management strategy we can find out that to run a company,
three management strategies are needed, namely corporate strategy, competitive strategy, and
functional strategy. As well as management strategies are very important because they can
make a difference in how well the organization runs a business to deal with changing
situations in order to support competitive strategies.

4.1 CONCLUSION

In the internal film we can learn to run a business that requires a strategy to make the
company faster and more advanced. And can motivate someone to make management
strategies as a strategy to run a business that they live. And in the management strategy
material we can compare the business to support competitive strategies.

4.2 SUGGESTION

I as a writer want to apologize if there is an error in this paper and I hope that the
paper that I have made can be a reference for those of you who read it and the readers
can give advice to me so that I can make the paper better. And thank you very much for
