Firm, fair and just discipline is the foundation of an effective and efficient institution. The philosophy
and objectives of St. Vincent Learning Academy may be best realized if learners obey the rules of

the consequences of their acts. Discipline is one of the core values of the learners in the school.

D. PARENTS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW SCHOOL RULES
Compliance with the school rules and regulations is not the sole responsibility of the student but also of
his/her parents. Parents’ refusal to follow the rules and regulations of their child’s school may be a
legal ground for denying their child readmission. The court stated that the right of schools to establish
and enforce reasonable rules and regulations for admission, discipline and promotions of the students
“extends as well as to parent and parent-teacher associations as parents are under a social and moral (if
not legal) obligation, individually and collectively, to assist and cooperate with schools.”
