Online Food Ordering is a process
of ordering food from a local restaurant
or food cooperative through internet. A
customer will search for a favourite
restaurant, usually filtered via type of
cuisine and choose from available items,
and choose delivery or pickup. Users can
give orders from any place and pay cash
on delivery. The system deals with
ordering, processing and delivering food
products. Ordering is done by a valid
customer with appropriate identity.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to
develop an Online Food Ordering System.
It is a system that enables the customer
to place their order at any time and from
any place. The reason to develop the
system is due to the issues facing by food
industry. These issues are such as peak
hour-long queue issues, increase of take
away foods than visitors, speed major
requisite of food preparation, limited
promotion and advertising on current
strategy and quality control of food
management issues. Therefore, this
system enhances the speed and
standardization of taking the order from
the customer and displays it to the staff
in the kitchen accordingly. Beside that, it
provide a user-friendly web pages and
effective advertising medium to the new

product of the online food restaurant to
the customer with cheaper cost.
Furthermore, it also extend and
deliver customer satisfactions especially
to the hectic customer or reaching the
customer who are constrain of to be n
food restaurant. At the same time, it also
boosts up market share for food
restaurant and increase return on
investment for the investor.

MODULES:
The project consists of four modules as
follows:
● ADMIN MODULE:
This module helps the admin to login to
his page and add the restaurants as well
as vendors and also has the power to
view, approve or delete the same. Admin
can also get the feedback from the
restaurants and the customers as well.
● RESTAURANT MODULE:
This module consists of the restaurants
approved by the admin. The restaurant
has to first register them with the valid
information and will be provided a
username and password to login. They

can add food categories, view the orders
assigned to them. They may also get the
feedback from the customers.
● VENDOR MODULE:
This module is meant for the vendors who
deliver the food to the customer from the
assigned restaurants. They need to first
register them on the site and then login to
the page with the given username and
the password. Once logged in, they can
view the orders and the restaurants
assigned to them to pick-up the order
and deliver them.
● CUSTOMER MODULE:
This module also has a registration form
and a login page. The customer can
search for a particular food, order them
online. They may also view the

orders,select the payment mode and rate
the vendor and the restaurant.
FUTURE SCOPE OF
THE PROJECT:
In a nutshell, it can be summarized that
the future scope of the project circles
around maintaining information
regarding:
● We can give more advanced
software for Online Food Ordering
System including more facilities.
● We will host the platform on online
servers to make it accessible
worldwide.
● Implement the backup mechanism
for taking backup of codebase and
the database on regular basis on
different servers.

● Create the master and slave
database structure to reduce the
overload of the database queries.
CONCLUSION:
The Online Food Ordering System will
help the restaurants to increase the
scope of the business by helping users to
give orders online. Saves the time of the
customers too.
