Summary in 5 sentences: Kiko and Gaby Contreras, the son and daughter of
the ministry of information struggles to find the truth with what’s
happening their country due to their family’s position. A powerful ruler
governs their country with an iron fist while deceit and prejudice unravels
as lives deminish one by one. Amidst all the genocide preceding in their
time, Kiko and Gaby remains fortunate living their lives because of their
father’s occupation. As time pass by, they meet a lot of people and hear
how apocalyptic their life turned out—making them question on how they
see the world. Everything they once believed in somehow mystically turns
to ashes, leading them to regret and sorrow for all the lives that were
vanished by the tyrant.

Mechanics: There will be 1 representative per group that will be assigned to
stuff their mouth with certain foods. After stuffing their mouth with a certain
quantity per round, they will be given words, phrases and sentences to
pronounce while their mouth is full. Their groupmates will be given a certain
amount of time to guess what they’re trying to say and the group that gets all
the word, phrase and sentence wins a prize. If a group does not get the word,
they will have a punishment that involves them eating a pepper as a group.

Sentence: Back in the medieval times, the thieves were tortured with
falanga so that they can’t walk anymore.

Sentence: Both kids were diagnosed with retinoblastoma when they
were just 2 years old.

 RESPECT TOWARDS YOUR PARENTS – Heaving respect towards
your parents is deeply engraved in Filipino culture, which transcends
morality even when your parents aren’t morally correct.
 BIAS- Hinders people from making an objective judgment.
 DEBT- Being indebted to someone clouds over his/her judgment
therefore having a somehow bias opinion.
 PREJUDICE- Gaby and Kiko were judged beforehand by society
because of their father’s role in the government.
 MANIPULATION- Documents, people and news were manipulated to
cover the truth.
 VIOLENCE- The administration used terror as their strong suit to
constrain the citizen of its country.
 PERSPECTIVE- Each person has different morals which affect their
way of thinking.
 UNITY- People set aside their differences to overcome a problem that
cannot be handled by an individual.
 CHANGE- Change is prominent throughout the story; change allows
people to realize and alter their ideology and stance triggered by a
certain event.
 RESILIENCE- Throughout the story, it showed that even after the
chaos the fellowmen of the country can still stand up and move on
with their lives to continue with the new and better administration.
