 Jacob Springs Farm Meat CSA Details & Prices
T he meat CSA is a herdshare
with 12 shares dividing 1 steer,
4 hogs, 6 lambs, 48 chickens and 12
turkeys in 6 installments.
Meat will come as a mix of steaks,
roasts, grilling meats, cubed and
ground meat. Chickens and turkeys
will come whole.
Pigs, surprisingly to some, are not
entirely made of bacon! Steers each
only have a few pounds of tenderloin!
Each member will get a proportional
amount of the various cuts of each
animal, a portion of which will be in
the form of ground beef and stewing
meat.
Organ meats, tongue, tail, fats, stew
bones and hides can be requested on a
first-come basis. Frequently there are
plenty of extras for those who enjoy
adventures in odd bits! Ask us!
