Users of the CATIA AEC Drawing

products are able to extract this data to
create classification, assembly and
workshop drawings. Technological
information will be taken into account to
produce automatic annotations such as
part name, marking lines for welded
parts.
Increased Productivity... Designers are
able to quickly develop complete ship hull
designs thanks to the library of standard
parts. Users manage these complex
designs through section and profile
development allowing them to identify
materials, analyze shapes and control
parametric data.
The Ship Hull Design product's multiple
copy capability lets users quickly and
easily select, modify and copy parts,
blocks and families of parts using the
symmetry along the ship center line or
translation. Entire sections can be copied
within a ship or between ships with
automatic recomputation based on the
location to which the section is being
copied.
Section Management... Designers can
create sections (composed of several
polygons and materials) with standard
shapes such as beams, pillars, decks
and bulkheads, or with user-defined
forms. Users can store sections in
specific CATIA libraries so they can be
shared among multiple designers.
Material tables enable designers to
create custom materials and control
material selection for the project.

AEC Infrastructure, along with its
prerequisites. For more information,

workstation platforms that support
CATIA.
