Introduction

Inter-cultural sensitivity, according to the article of the Red Shoe

Movement (2017) is being aware that cultural differences and similarities

between people exist without assigning them a value – positive or

negative, better or worse, right or wrong. Open-mindedness or being

receptive is very applicable recently. Particularly, for students who studies

humanities and social sciences. Students should clearly understand and

comfortably adapt different cultures or cultural backgrounds.

Particularly, for students, well as Grade Twelve students. Students should

clearly understand and comfortably adapt different cultures or cultural

backgrounds.

The study aims to spill the beans about the studies significance to

gain insights from different perspective coming from different participants

and from different related studies as well as to develop every individuals

or peers’ sensitiveness and receptiveness towards different cultural

background.

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the sensitivity level of selected Grade

Twelve students in Eclaro Academy School Year 2018 to 2019.

Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following:

1. What is the profile or demography of the respondents in terms of

the following:

1.1. age;

1.2. gender; and

1.3. religion?

2. How do respondents frequently observe and answer the

sensitivity of cultural diversity in terms of the following:

2.1: Do you think that studying other culture will help us in

socializing to improve our social well-being and to our social

life?

2.2: Do you try to adopt the living either in urban or rural

places? Why or why not?

2.3: Do you practice receptiveness when you are

communicating/socializing with people from other culture?

2.4: Have you developed much of an intercultural mind? How

much do you feel that you need?

2.5: If you are interested in developing an intercultural mind,

what have you understand about Bennett's DMIS?

Methodology

Methods of Research

Qualitative research method is more on facts and gathering

Information about behaviors, beliefs, opinions, emotions, and relationships

of individual persons. The methods of qualitative research are generated

by field notes, audio (and sometimes video) recordings, and transcripts.

These facilities and understanding of the processes that led to the specific

Outcomes trading generalizability and comparability for internal validity

and contextual and evaluative understanding.

Qualitative methods examine the why and how of decision making,

not just what, where, when, or "who", and have a strong basis in the field

of sociology to understand government and social programs.

Sources of data

A total of (insert respondents) of Eclaro Academy Paragon, these

persons are involved in our study.

Data gathering instrument

The main instrument in this study was a survey form for our student

respondents. It was constructed the following steps. First, write an excuse

letter to ask for a little bit time to be our respondents for survey.

Second, the researchers made a survey questionnaire for the

respondents who are involved in the study. Finally, the researchers

collected the responses of the respondents who answered the survey

questionnaire, transcribed all the videos of interview?

Data gathering procedure

Before conducting a survey, the researchers ask for permission in

the Dean to conduct our survey in selected grade 12 students of Eclaro

Academy that involved in our study. During our survey the researchers

discussed the instructions or direction on how to answer the survey

questionnaires. After the retrieval of instruments. The researchers checked

the total and analyzed the responses of the respondents.
