INTRODUCTION

An” EVENT” can be described as a public assembly for the


purpose of celebration, education, marketing or reunion. Events
can be classified on the basis of their size, type and context. An
event can be a social / lifecycle event like a birthday party,
engagement, wedding, funeral etc. or an education and career
event like an education fair, job fair, workshop, seminar, debate,
contest, competition etc.

Event Management is the process


of analyzing, planning, marketing, producing and evaluating an
event. It is a different way of promoting a product, service or
idea. If an event is managed efficiently and effectively, it can be
used as a very powerful promotional tool to launch or market a
product or service. Events Management requires certain core
values to be deployed to every element, process and decision to
justify professional approach and achieve effective and efficient
results.

“SPORTS EVENTS” is perhaps the primary activity of sport and


recreation organizations. Workers in the sport and recreation
industry, salaried and voluntary, are essentially organizers of
people whether they are event directors, coaches, referees,
instructors or facility supervisors. This organization of people is
manifest by what we see and call an "event". The term "event"
in the sport and recreation industry usually refers to a situation
where participants, facilities, equipment and other resources are
co-ordinate to enable a form of sport or recreation or some allied
activity to be undertaken.

Rules:
• Only 8 teams would be registered on first come first serve
basis
• Open for all college students only. Please bring your id card
while registration
• Register your team with 15 member, name, contact number
and kit team color.
• The players have to bring their own kits and other cricket
accessories

• 1 nov : prepare a plan for the proposed event, decide name
place dates etc for the event
• 2nov : prepare a PowerPoint presentation of the event ,
allocate probable sponsors
• 3 nov : bring quotation from various suppliers such as tents
, sound system, security system etc
• 4 nov : approach sponsor (official sports sponsor , media
partner, co-sponsor etc)
• 5 nov: visit the proposed places for the event (Nehru
stadium , khalsa ground and others)
• 6 nov – 10nov : book venue, tents , sound system, security
services etc
• 11 nov : inviting various dignitaries , referees, officials,
eminent players etc
• 12nov : inviting chief guest for closing ceremony “amey
khurasiya” Indian cricket team .

• 13 nov : press release , advertisement in newspapers radio
etc about the event and stall booking

• 21 nov : form a committee and take a meeting.
