RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A BID FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE COMMUNITY POOL

AT THE EWING SENIOR & COMMUNITY CENTER TO RJR ENGINEERING CO., INC.

Resolution #10R- WHEREAS, it is necessary for the renovation of the Community Pool together with the installation of
drainage and filtration systems at the Ewing Senior & Community Center; and

WHEREAS, the Township conducted a bidding process for the renovation of the Community Pool together with the
installation of drainage and filtration systems at the Ewing Senior & Community Center as set forth in the Specifications and
Bid Documents dated September 2, 2010 prepared by Banc3, Inc. pursuant the bidding provisions as set forth by the Local
Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.; and

WHEREAS, the bids included Alternate “A” for addition of a PVC Lining system and Alternate “B” as a deduct for the
main pool epoxy painting; and

WHEREAS, the following bids were received and reviewed by the Township Attorney, the Township Business
Administrator and Banc3, Inc.:

WHEREAS, Banc3, Inc. recommended award of the bid including Alternate “A” for addition of a PVC Lining
system and Alternate “B” as a deduct for the main pool epoxy painting; and

WHEREAS, the Township Attorney has reviewed the bids and determined that the bid of RJR Engineering, Inc.
of Califon, New Jersey was the lowest responsible bid for said project and was responsive to the Specifications
and Bid Documents, and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has provided a Certification of Funds;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Ewing that it hereby
accepts the lowest responsive bid of RJR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $517,631.00 for the renovation of the
Community Pool together with the installation of drainage and filtration systems, inclusive of Alternates “A” and
“B” at the Ewing Senior & Community Center in accordance with the Specifications and Bid Documents referred
to herein, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and appropriate officials are hereby authorized to execute a
contract consistent with the terms and conditions of the aforesaid bid in a form substantially similar to that
annexed hereto.

copy of a Resolution adopted by the Governing Body of the Township of Ewing at a Regularly Scheduled
Meeting of the Municipal Council of the Township of Ewing, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey held
on the 9th day of November, 2010.
