SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Manages a business activity as an assistant manager. Recommends and enforces operating procedures. Represents the
activity to the public. Conducts surveys, reviews activity reports and makes recommendations concerning services,
promotional activities and revenue improvements.

Supervises assigned staff.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

A National Agency Check is required.

KASO’s (KNOWLDEGE, ABILITY, SKILLS, OTHERS)

a) Administrative or clerical experience such as: writing Memorandums of Agreement, composing


correspondence; searching for and compiling information/data and records administration; inputting and
managing the Time and Attendance for NAF employees. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both
orally and in writing.

b) Skill in using various MICROSOFT programs to include: EXCEL access, WORD, POWER POINT and
OUTLOOK, working with data bases.
c) Experience in supervising personnel in a food and beverage environment.

d) Knowledge of food preparation, menu costing, and cleanliness standards.

e) Ability and skill in planning and executing entertainment programs.

satisfactorily complete each KASO to be ranked best qualified and referred for this vacancy announcement.

EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE FOR SPOUSE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SEP) ELIGIBLES:


1. You must be a wife or husband of an active duty military member in the armed forces who entered into marriage prior
to sponsor's relocation. 2. Your application must be for the Grade NF-3 and below and all hourly rate positions. 3. You
must request consideration at the time you submit a DA Form 3433 (application form) and attach a copy of your sponsor's
PCS orders to certify eligibility. 4. The period of eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor's reporting date and
ends six months prior to the end of the tour.

NOTE: Spouse preference eligibility is terminated on placement into, or declination of a continuing position (one
expected to last at least one year) at any grade level for which the eligible spouse has applied for employment in either the
appropriated or NAF work force within DOD and whether or not preference was applied.

FOLLOWING RECENT POLICY GUIDANCE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CLARIFIES


SPOUSE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM ENTITLEMENT. Refusal by the spouse to participate in established
recruitment procedures such as interview, when requested and submission of properly completed KASO/Job Element
form or other forms when required, will be considered as a declination of employment and result in the termination of
spouse preference for the current PCS of the sponsor.

ATTENTION:
Current appropriated fund employees must attach a copy of their SF 50 and former nonappropriated fund employees a
copy of their separation DA 3434 (Army) or equivalent document (non-Army). Without these documents, credit for their
prior civilian service, will not be granted.

Applicants claiming veteran preference MUST submit a copy of their DD 214 with their application. Veteran preference
if authorized for military service performed will not be granted without the DD 214. Applicants with any type of active
military service should attach a copy of their DD 214 to ensure full consideration is given to their military service in
determining veteran’s preference.

Department of the Army indicating eligibility.

NOTE: ISM preference can be exercised only once. Accordingly, ISM preference eligibility is terminated upon
placement in or declination of (whichever occurs first) a nonappropriated fund position for which application was made.
A spouse employment preference has priority over ISM preference.
