TASK FOR VIDEO PRESENTATION

PURPOSE
Many speakers suffer from some degree of nervousness and anxiety before they speak to an
audience. There are many ways to try and alleviate this problem. One of the ways is through
video presentation.
The purpose of this task are:
a. to train learners to conquer their fear of speaking in front of a live audience, boost
their self-confidence and project themselves better in diverse situations; and
b. to develop the learners’ ability in applying specific skills and strategies that are
required in an oral presentation by equip them with value added skills such as IT,
creativity and innovation, etc.

TASK

This task is an individual assignment and the title of the video presentation is “The
Guidelines in Social Communication”.

The followings are the areas that you need to consider in preparing thevideo:

a. Prepare a five to ten-minute video presentation explaining the facts and your views
regarding the given title.
b. You can refer to various resources or use your personal observations, experience, and
knowledge for creating the content but make sure that the content of the video is
appropriate to your targeted audience.
c. You need to decide who you are as a presenter, your targeted audience, the
surroundings, and other aspects to consider even though you are not going to mention
it verbally in the presentation.
d. You are encouraged to use creativity and innovation in producing the video by
catering both brain’s visual and auditory systems, body language, facial expressions,
imagery and music, etc.
e. Visual aids are compulsory.
