The chasm in Muslim society is becoming sharper with

each passing day. With the society comprised of

Muslims is going into pits of moral and social
deterioration, the people are left with a future where
the majority would be bereft of any aspiration to
learn and implement the glowing tenets and
principles of Islam.

The success of propaganda created by the

disbelievers and non-followers of Islam can be
attributed to the failure of the majority of Muslim
community to not to present an Islamic society where
the basic Islamic principles and teachings of justice
and truth can be prevailed practically. The rapidly
gripping notion among the Muslims is that if they are
to prosper in this world and enjoy the wonders and
bounties of this world, they have to follow any
practice that is anything but Islamic. Muslims are
comfortable, as a society, to follow non-Islamic
practices without any reservations leading to the
Non-Muslim culture and values dominating the
society; a society, that was supposed to flourish as an
Islamic society.

Islam demands the Muslims not to become so much

indulgent in the worldly and temporary life so that
they would forget the day where accountability for
the deeds done in this world will be conducted. The
Islamic model of spending life is straightforward. The
Muslim should not be tricked and lured by the
enjoyment that this world has to offer. The enjoyment
offered by this world is a fleeting and superficial one,
which mostly leads the Muslim away from the
guidance given to the humanity in the last Book of
Allah that is Holy Quran.

The sad thing is that Muslim society has become

indifferent to the punishment leading a sinful and
corrupt life would bring. This is among the biggest
factors that have contributed to the downfall of
Muslims over the centuries; be it religious,
educational, scientific, regional, and economic or any
other sector. The burning zealousness in Muslims to
be committed to not only absolute truth and honesty
in Islamic matters, but also in the non-religious
developmental aspects has been extinguished by
their own laxness and indulgence in the treacherous
pleasures of the world. As a result, they have lagged
behind other non-Muslim nations in scientific
development, social up-lift, economic stability, moral
standards, and the reliance on judicial system to
prevail. Where other non-Muslim nations made
developments especially in educational and scientific
fields, which, in reality, are the foundations on which
they have spanned their influences on the world,
Muslims became sluggish in both Islamic and worldly
fields.

The elemental contributor to the gradual and now

almost culminated detachment from the truthful
Islamic code of spending life has been Muslims’ own
indulgence in the temporal luxuries and meaningless
joys of this world, although this goes against the
basic message given in Holy Quran as the Last Book
of Allah reminds over and over again to not to forget
that the everlasting life is after death.

Concluding from the obvious moral state of Muslim

countries, one realizes the truth that the entire focus
of Muslims has shifted to the material success in this
life to such an extent that, now, any remote concept
of implementing the rulings given in Holy Quran and
Sunna becomes scary to Muslims. They have
alienated themselves from the Islamic Code of Life
and are helping progress the trend in their respective
societies, which would strengthen the dependence of
the coming generations on Non-Islamic system and
thus, would discourage any affiliation with Islam in
the future as well.

Overall, Muslims’ perception due to the industrial

revolution and technological boom that “Islam is
outdated and incompatible with the progressive
educational, infrastructural, engineering etc.
developments”, has resulted in the total abolishment
of any reference to the contributions of Muslim
scholars and scientists. Therefore, the base of
education has been laid on the literature of Non-
Islamic, thus depriving the Muslims from entangling
themselves from the dominance of Non-Muslims in
any field of life.

In the end, the reason of such surmounting slavery to

Non-Islamic system can only be pointed towards the
abandonment of the glowing principles of honesty,
truth, justice, recommending good and forbidding evil
etc. ; all of which are among the basic orders given to
believers in the Oneness of Allah and the humanity in
general.
