A GENERAL COMMENTS:

The work inspected under this IR is found to be executed with approved General
arrangement Drawings. In effect, any re-work / modifications / adjustments required
1 later to meet the Design Intent / requirements of ID, ARCH and/or any other trade is
contractor responsibility.

Any rework required at the work inspected under this IR due to miscoordination with
2 other utilities need to be highlighted and re-inspected.

B SPECIFIC COMMENTS:

Insulation of the inspected chilled water black steel piping network included in thisIR
conforms to the attached Drawing - The attached Drawing is an approved Shop
Drawing.
Following were found to be as per the attached Drawing / Schedule

• Layout of the piping network included in this IR
• Material of insulation
• Size of the insulation

Insulation done for chilled water supply and chilled water return pipe network at high
level only without FCU hook up and isolation valve from the main riser.

3 Insulation shall be continious all over and in particular at joints where proper overlap
shall be ensured to avoid gaps.
4 Contractor to protect the executed work from any scratch/damage until the closure of
false ceiling.
5 contractor shall be provide Identification for the piping system as per the
specifications .
Contractor to ensure pipe alignment is not disturbed during working with other trade

activity and the level and alignment of pipes are maintained.

Any changes in the installation accessibility due to other utilities installation need to be
7
modified without any extra cost.

Seismic restraints supports not installed, to be calculated by specialist and provided

8 &submit for approval.

9 Thermal contraction for chilled water pipe should be calculated and consider.

BASIC APPROACH TO THERMAL INSULATION OF CHILLED WATER PIPING APPEARS TO BE

MISSING. REFER TO ATTACHED COPY OF SPECIFICATION SECTION 230719 AND PICTURES
1 TAKEN AT SITE. SUBMIT THE PENDING METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSULATION OF
CHILLED WATER PIPING. FOLLOW APPROVED METHOD STATEMENT.
