This course will give participants a basic knowledge of +
converter operation and standard analog controller design, so
that those without previous experience in the areas of vg(t) + v(t) R

Controller

Prerequisites
Some previous experience with switched-mode power supplies is helpful but not required. Basic (undergraduate) knowledge
of circuits, electronics, and frequency response is assumed.

Included in registration: Participants will receive a bound copy of all presentation materials and a CD containing
presentation materials. Continental breakfast (8:30 – 9:00 am) and buffet lunch will be provided each day. The course
will conclude at approximately 5:00 pm each day.

Bob Erickson received the Ph.D. degree from the California Institute of Technology in 1982. He then joined the University of
Colorado, Boulder, where he is currently the Slade Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Co-Director of the
Colorado Power Electronics Center. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and received an IEEE Power Electronics Society Transactions Prize
Paper Award for 1996. He is author (with Dragan Maksimovic) of the textbook Fundamentals of Power Electronics, 2nd edition.
