FIRST READ THIS….

(1) Every Islamic brother/sister who has entered the Qadiriya

Razaviya saintly line is authorised to recite Shajra-e-Aaliya
Qadiriya.
(2) All the recitals and incantations mentioned in the Shajra
must be recited with proper pronunciation. (Please see the
detail of this issue in Bahar-e-Shariat, Part 3, P88)
(3) One who cannot make the necessary differences between ‫ا‬
and ‫ع‬, ‫ س‬and ‫ش‬, ‫ ه‬and ‫ح‬, is not permitted to recite these
recitals. Beware! There is great danger in reciting them
incorrectly.
(4) Therefore, one must read out these recitals to a Sunni Qari
or Sunni Alim who knows the art of Qira’at.
(5) It is not necessary to recite all the recitals given in the
Shajra, however, if all of them could be recited, In’shaa-Allah

one will receive countless blessings in this world and in
the Hereafter.
(6) Choose the number of recitals which you can easily
accomplish yourself.
(7) Recite Durood once in the beginning and at the end of
every incantation. If many recitals are recited in one session,
recite Durood in the beginning of every incantation and then
once after finishing all the recitals.

THESE INCANTATIONS SHOULD BE RECITED

IN THE MORNING AND THE EVENING:
First of all, keep the definition of “morning” and
“evening” in mind: After midnight till the glow of the
first ray of the sun is the “morning”. All that which will
be recited in between this time will be regarded as
reciting in the morning. From afternoon (beginning time
of Zuhr) till sunset is called “evening”. All that which
will be recited in between this time is regarded as reciting
in the evening. By reciting the following incantations,
one would attain countless benefits (the sequence of the
numbers is not necessary in reciting):

(1) Reciting three Qul (Sura Ikhlaas, Sura Falaq and

Sura Naas) three times is protection from every tragedy.
If one reads it in the morning, he is protected until the
evening and if he reads it in the evening, he is protected
until the morning. (Abu Dawud, Hadith 5082, V4, P355)

DURING THE NIGHT

From sunset until dawn (Subh-o-Sadiq) is called night,
whatever is recited in this duration will be regarded as
reciting during the night. For example, if any incantation
is recited after Maghrib, it would be regarded as being
recited during the night. If possible, recite the following
during the night:

Sura Mulk: This Sura is for pardon from the

(1)
punishment of the grave. (Jame’ Tirmizi, Hadith 2899, V4,
P407)
(2) Sura Yaseen: This Sura is for forgiveness. (Shu’ubul
Imaan, Hadith 2485, V2, P479)
(3) Sura Waqi’ah: This Sura is for protection from
starvation. (Shu’ubul Imaan, Hadith 2497, V2, P491)
(4) Sura Dukhan: One would get up in the morning in
such a state that 70,000 Angels would be asking for
forgiveness on his behalf. (Jame’ Tirmizi, Hadith 2897, V4,
P406)

INCANTATIONS TO BE RECITED BEFORE

SLEEPING
(1)If one recites Aya-tul-Kursi once, an Angel would be
appointed from Allah to guard him and Satan would
not be able to get near him in the night. (Sahih Bukhari,
Hadith 2311, V3, P88). The house in which Aya-tul-Kursi is
recited and the neighbouring houses would be protected

enter those houses. (Al Wazeefa-tul-Kareema, P19)

(6) One should spread the palms of both hands, recite

hands on the head, face, chest, back and front up to
where the hands can reach. He should repeat it a second
and third time. In’shaa-Allah he would be protected

someone, one may talk but then recite the same Sura after
that. He would die while reciting the same Sura. (In’shaa-

TAHAJJUD
One should sleep after performing Salaa-tul-Isha and
whenever he gets up before dawn, he should make
Wudhu and perform at least 2 rak’at. This will be
Tahajjud. It is Sunnah to perform 8 rak’at and the method
of pious people is 12 rak’at. One has the choice to recite
the Qur’an in Tahajjud from wherever he finds it easy. If
one knows the complete Qur’an by heart, he should
finish the Qur’an in Tahajjud in a minimum period of 3
days and a maximum in 40 days. If one desires, he can
recite Sura Ikhlaas three times in every rak’at. This way,
he will get the reward of finishing the Qur’an in each
rak’at.

the given number and the method. Please do not increase
or decrease the number. If there is no difficulty, the first
and second incantations can be recited 100 times daily
2
with Durood Shareef 11 times in the beginning and 11
times in the end.

SOME ESSENTIAL ADVICE

(1) Every Islamic brother/sister who is sane and has
reached the age of puberty must be punctual with five
times daily salaah. For men, going to the Masjid and
performing Salaah with Jama’at is Wajib. A person who
misses his salaah is a so-called human being, - his visible
form is of a human but he possesses nothing of human. A
person who misses his salaah is not only that person who
never performs Salaah but also that person who
deliberately leaves Salaah even once. To leave Salaah
because of your job or business or for any other reason is
severe ungratefulness and the height of foolishness. No
boss, even if he is a non-Muslim, can stop one from
performing Salaah. If the boss doesn’t let you perform
Salaah then this type of employment is absolutely
Haraam. Remember, no means of earning can bring
blessings by leaving Salaah. The One Who has made the
Salaah Fardh gets very angry on neglecting the Salaah.
(Allah forbid)
(2) All the Qada (missed out) salaah must be estimated in
such way that none of the salaah are left out. There is no
harm if the estimation covers more than what were
actually missed out. All the missed out salaah must be
performed as soon as possible. Do not be lazy as the time
of death is unknown. If the Fardh still remains in one’s
responsibility, the voluntary worship is unacceptable. If
21
you have numerous missed Salaah, for example, 100 Fajr
Salaah are missed, one must intend every time in this
way that “I am doing Qada of the first Fajr which I
missed”, similarly, in Zuhr etc. In Qada Salaah, only
Fardh and Witr are read (20 rak’aat are performed
everyday).

(3) Complete any fasts you have missed before the next
Ramadhaan Shareef because it is mentioned in Hadith
that until the fasts from the previous Ramadhaan are not
kept, the fasts of next Ramadhaan will not be accepted.
(For further information please read Faizan-e-Ramadhaan (chapter of
Faizan-e-Sunnat))
(4) A wealthy person, who possesses wealth equivalent
to an amount upon which the Zakah is Fardh, must pay
Zakah. If the Zakah was not paid for many years, one
must calculate the Zakah for all those years and pay it as
soon as possible. To delay in paying Zakah after the year
has ended is a sin. One can start paying little by little
from the beginning of the year. You must then calculate
at the end of the year whether the full Zakah is paid or
not. If it is paid, that is fine. If not, the outstanding
amount must be paid immediately to the deserving ones,
and if more is paid, it can be added to the Zakah of next
year. Allah will never waste anyone’s good deed.

(5)A person who has the capability of going for Hajj, the
Hajj is Fardh upon him. Allah has said about the
compulsoriness of Hajj in Sura Aale Imran, Verse 97:
22

(Translation from Kanzul-Imaan: and performing the Hajj of this
house, for the sake of Allah, is a duty upon mankind, for those who
can reach it; and whoever disbelieves - then Allah is Independent of
the entire creation!)
The Holy Prophet

  has said about
the people who neglect the Hajj with no justification, “I
don’t care whether they die as Jews or Christians.” (Allah

 forbid) (Jame’ Tirmidhi, Hadith 812, V2, P219)
(6) Refrain from lying, vulgar language, spying,
backbiting, adultery, homosexuality, cruelty, fraud,
arrogance, shaving or trimming the beard (keeping less
than fistful), imitating the sinners, watching movies and
dramas, listening to music and every other bad practice.
One who follows Allah and His Messenger

  , Allah
 has promised Heaven for him.

REMINDER
Oh Islamic brother and sister! Remember when you were
born, everyone was happy and you were crying. You
should live such a life that everyone should be crying at
your death and you must be happy.

If you keep on crying with sincerity in the remembrance

of Allah , if your heart is in pain because of the
separation from the Beloved

  , then
definitely at the time of death you will be rewarded with
23
the vision of the Beloved

  and you
will leave this world happily while others would be sad
of your departure.

Dear Islamic brother and sister! Remember these pledges

that you have made with Allah on the hand of this
sinner and insignificant person. Please make Dua for this
ill-mannered person that I could live my life following
the orders of Allah the way it should be and until
the end of my life I may be punctual with the Sunnah.

(Translation from Kanzul-Imaan: therefore do not die except as

Oh Islamic brother and sister! Remember! You have

pledged that you will continue performing Salaah, to fast
and every other Fardh according to Shariah, and that you
will refrain from sins. Allah keep you strong on this
promise. To break a promise is Haraam, a defect and a
very bad thing to do. Fulfilling the promise is Wajib even
if it was made with an insignificant creation. This
promise you have made, has been made with Allah .
2
Oh Islamic brother and sister! Remember death. If you
remember death you will be relieved from the place of
devastation. Your faith and religion would be protected;
you will be gifted the opportunity to follow the Sunnah
and would be saved from committing sins.

Oh Islamic brother! Wake up so you may sleep with

Oh Islamic brother and sister! Don’t sacrifice your life

would make you careless about Allah . World is the
name of negligence from Allah .

RECITAL OF THE QUR’AN

Great saints’ !()% have said that undoubtedly, the
recitation of the Qur’an is a tested incantation for the
fulfilment of needs. Read the Qur’an everyday in
whatever quantity you can with respect. If one recites it
according to the method suggested below, In’shaa-Allah

one will witness many blessings and would be
successful in every matter. You should start from
Jumu’ah (Friday) and end on Thursday.

Friday: From Sura Fatiha till the end of Sura Maa’ida.

Saturday: From Sura An’aam till the end of Sura Tauba.
25
Sunday: From Sura Yunus till the end of Sura Maryam.
Monday: From Sura TaHa till the end of Sura Qasas.
Tuesday: From Sura Ankaboot till the end of Sura Saad.
Wednesday: From Sura Zumar till the end of Sura Rahman.
Thursday: From Sura Waqia till the end of Sura Naas.

Recite in seclusion and don’t talk while reciting. For

every struggle and permissible work, completing the
Qur’an 11 times consecutively is believed to be the best
remedy.

The above-mentioned Durood should be recited 100
times with the Jumu’ah congregation while standing with
folded hands and facing Madina Shareef. Where Jumu’ah
does not take place, recite this Durood after Fajr, Zuhr or
Asr. If one is alone, one should recite this alone.
Likewise, Islamic sisters must recite this Durood at their
homes.

There are numerous virtues of Durood and Salaam. As a

sample a few are mentioned here. A person who loves
The Holy Prophet
    , who exalts him
more than the entire universe, who will stay away from
those who belittle the Beloved

  and
want to put an end to his remembrance, such Muslim will
2
gain numerous benefits if they recite Durood and Salaam.
Few of those benefits are mentioned below.

(1) Allah sends 3,000 mercies on the person who

recites Durood.
(2) Allah will send salaam (peace) 2,000 times
upon him.
(3) 5,000 good deeds are written into his Book of Deeds.
(4) He is elevated 5,000 times.
(5) 5,000 of his sins are forgiven.
(6) Allah will write on his forehead that he is not a
hypocrite.
(7) Allah will write on his forehead that he is free
from Hell.
(8) Allah will include him amongst the martyrs on
the Day of Judgement.
(9) His wealth will increase.
(10) His children and children’s children will increase.
(11) Allah will give him supremacy over his
enemies.
(12) Allah will put his love into the hearts of the
people.
(13) He would be blessed with the vision of the Holy
Prophet

  .
(14) He will die as a believer.
(15) The Holy Prophet

  will shake
hands with him on the Day of Judgement.
27
(16) The intersession of the Holy Prophet

    will be necessary for him.
(17) Allah will be pleased with him and will never
be angry with him. AlaHazrat * "

Sunni Muslims permission to recite this Durood
(Durood-e-Razaviya) with the condition that they stay
away from people with corrupt beliefs.

ISLAMIC SISTERS MUST PAY ATTENTION

Beloved Islamic sisters! It is necessary for you to have
information about your monthly menses. In this regard,
you must read the second part of Bahar-e-Shariat or ask
another sister to read it out to you. Furthermore, with
regards to veil, you must read Bahar-e-Shariat, V16, P78-
86. Some information regarding the veil is mentioned
below.

Sayyidatuna Umm-e-Salama !" $# % narrates that

Sayyidatuna Maimoona !" $ # % and I were in the
company of the Holy Prophet

told us to cover ourselves. I said, “Oh
Messenger of Allah
        ! He is
blind and will not be able to see us”. The Holy Prophet

replied, “Are you both blind as well?
Will you not be able to see him?” (Jame’ Tirmizi, Hadith
2787, V4, P356)

Beloved Islamic sisters! As it is necessary for a man not

to look at a strange woman, likewise a woman must
abstain from looking at a man. However, there is slight
difference between a man seeing a strange woman and a
woman seeing a strange man. The difference is that a
woman must be certain that by looking at a particular
man she will not have lust. If this is the case, there is no
crime in looking at that man. But if there is a slight doubt
of lust then she must not look at him. (Summarised from
Bahar-e-Shariat)

Few extra rules are mentioned below:-

(1) A woman must never touch the body of a strange
man. She must never shake hands with him nor kiss the
hands of her Peer.
(2) A woman must not throw away the hairs which are
broken at the time of combing at such place where a
strange man can see.
(3) There is a command of veil between the cousin
brothers and sisters. Not to have veil between the
brother-in-law and sister-in-law is destruction like death.
(Mira’at)
(4) Islamic sisters must not sit on terraces outside the
house, nor look through windows. This type of practice
opens the doors of mischief.
2
DAWAT-E-ISLAMI
Dear Islamic brothers and sisters! Dawat-e-Islami is a
non-political movement to propagate Salaah and Sunnah.
You should support this movement by all means.
Whenever its weekly Ijtima takes place, you must
participate in it in every possible way. Likewise, you
should participate in the Dars of Faizan-e-Sunnat where
it takes place. Where Dars of Faizan-e-Sunnat is not
taking place, you should try to start it. I put emphasis on
every Islamic brother to travel for at least three days on a
Madani Qafila every month.

METHOD OF GIVING DARS

After any Salaah or even after all 5 daily Salaah in a
suitable time, gather the Islamic brothers and Islamic
sisters at home and start the Dars in the following way:

$
  # !* 9 > U

 9
$ "
 # !" # $ # e A ?

This should be followed by the following Durood which

is recited in four parts and the congregation is asked to
repeat each part:

 - ' * . / ‚

  ‚

  (the congregation must repeat)

After that, read something for a few minutes from

Faizan-e-Sunnat. You may read from wherever you feel
comfortable. If one cannot read the verses and the Arabic
text properly, there is no harm in reading out only the
translation. Similarly, one must not give one’s own
explanation of the Qur’anic verses and the Hadith, rather
just read out what is written. End with a Dua. Instead of
leaving quietly, meet the participants warmly and
motivate them to start the work of Dawat-e-Islami. A
struggle to create a good and pure environment must
continue.

Oh our beloved Allah ! Make us all preachers of

Dawat-e-Islami, your favourite slave, lover of your
Beloved

  and the lover of Madina.

WISDOM OF BOOKLETS
Incident from Hyderabad (India) - A clean shaven drunk
person passed by a bookstall. He saw a booklet written
by Ameer-e-AhleSunnat. After seeing the name, he
thought it was a storybook 1 so he bought a few and gave
them to his wife at home and went out again. He got
home in the morning and was shocked to see his wife
sitting on the prayer mat reciting the Holy Qur’an. As
soon as she saw her husband, she started crying and said,

1
This is the wisdom of Ameer-e-AhleSunnat that the names of booklets are kept in
such a manner where a person will enquire about their contents. Names of some of the
booklets are: Mysterious beggar, Discoveries made by a shroud thief, Black slave,
Terrifying magician, King of Jinnaat, Dangerous Abyssinian, Strange punishment,
Injured snake etc. There are many other booklets which can be purchased from
Maktaba-tul-Madina.
35
‘The stories you bought for me made me cry a lot and I
couldn’t get to sleep. I have repented for my sins and
have started to pray salaah. You should also read these
stories.’ The man also started to read the booklets and felt
a change within himself. He also repented for his sins,
started praying salaah and kept a beard. He joined the
Madani environment of Dawat-e-Islami and his wife is
now a Mubaligha of Dawat-e-Islami.
