Oils, greases and other similar agents

Joints or crevices will be covered during integration to minimize the build up of contaminating debris.

Rivets, bolts, nuts and so forth must be cleaned to remove any type of contamination such as lubricants and
machining oils prior to fastening.

Fasteners will be cleaned with an appropriate solvent prior to being used during integration.

Areas which become inaccessible for cleaning must be cleaned and inspected prior to that time, and be
bagged following that tim`e

No food or perishable material shall be taken into the work area. Workers shall be advised of this
requirement during the site induction and clean areas / canteen facilities rest area and smoking shelters shall
be provided well away from fabrication and assembly areas.

Good house-keeping and Organisation of the work areas around the work area will significantly help to
keep the modules clean

Surface should be cleaned regularly at equal intervals for build-up of dirt or dust

Vessels and static equipment shall not be left with open flanges / man ways during construction. All flanges
/ man ways shall be covered / sealed / closed to prevent ingress of fauna / flora or water contamination
Vessels and static equipment shall be manually cleaned, inspected and finally boxed up

Pipe ends under fabrication shall be sealed / covered with plastic sheeting when not being worked on (i.e.
during lunch breaks, overnight or periods above 1 hour). Similarly pipe work shall be covered with plastic
and sealed prior to following sections of pipe being welded or bolted in place.

Work may lie idle for sometime, like lunch-breaks/shift change etc. Work should be well covered in such
times. For any such intervals lasting more than one day (weekly off / holiday) an internal inspection shall
be carried out to ensure nothing has entered the work.

All drilled breathing holes (RF Pads / Vents / Drains) shall be plugged with coloured silicone sealant.

Corners and gussets shall be inspected regularly for nesting insects. All dirt and grease shall be cleaned off
Bolts on flanges shall be painted. Grease, “moly-coat” or “Denso” shall not be used for bolt protection in
the yard.

All exposed grease shall be removed.

Routine fogging shall be carried out as required due to climatic conditions on and around the modules using
a broad spectrum synthetic parathyroid or similar, insecticide.

Rodent traps shall be strategically placed around the site and routinely checked.

In addition to these rodent traps, to prevent other exotic pests such as ants (crawling pests) from infesting
the work, the spraying of the work legs and surrounding bases with a residual pesticide such as Cislin, is
recommended

Birds, their feathers and faecal waste materials pose an extremely high quarantine risk and must be
avoided. Regular cleaning, of work and of surrounding area avoids attracting birds.

Breeding Mosquitoes are a high Quarantine risk. During the rainfall seasons any areas or receptacles that
have the potential to hold water must be identified and remedial action implemented. Potential breeding
areas can include old tyres off rims, drums, poor flowing drains or any area likely to retain water after
rainfall.
