Band Hopes Individual Contributions Through Fundraising Website Will Help

in Difficult Times

Phoenix-based Whiskey Six looks to new crowdfunding site, Kickstarter.com, to help raise capital
needed to compete in the chaotic music business.

Phoenix, AZ, November 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Phoenix-based Whiskey Six has now launched their first
Kickstarter project to help raise funds for mass production of their second EP, "Love, Sex, and American
Excess" and newly-designed t-shirts to sell at their live shows during 2011. Through the interactive
fund-raising website, Kickstarter.com, Whiskey Six hopes to raise $4,000 by December 5, 2010. This
money will go directly towards the design and production of the new EP and band t-shirts.

Founded in 2009, Kickstarter is an interactive website that allows artists to raise money for creative
projects from individual contributors. However, unless the artist reaches their goal, they do not receive
any of the contributions. To date, over 800 creative projects have been funded throughout the country.

With the current economy and disarray of the music industry, independent bands like Whiskey Six must
come up with creative ways to finance their dream. "We value our fans time and money, however, the
industry isn't like it used to be. Bands are now expected to pay for studio time, merchandise, and even pay
clubs and venues to play," states lead singer Chris Strickler. "To get signed by a record label, you need to
prove you can sell more than 10,000 CDs nationally. That's pretty tough when you're paying for all of the
travel and promotion to build up that kind of fan base."

Despite their challenges, Whiskey Six has had their share of success. Since their creation in 2009, the
band has won the 98KUPD Playdio radio contest and have recently won the title of Best Local Band by
the Phoenix New Times. "We've had a great response from fans," says Matt Indes, drummer. "We just
want to continue getting our music out there. This project will help us reach that goal." The band has
played with national artists such as Beth Hart and Slash; Powerman 5000; Steel Panther and Lynch Mob.

The second Whiskey Six EP, "Love, Sex, and American Excess" will be released in January, 2011. The
songs have been recorded, however, coming up with funding to have them professionally mass produced
has been difficult. "We all work day jobs, but in today's economy, it's hard to stay on top of your own
expenses, let alone the added expense of hotel rooms, van rentals, and payments to promoters to be
included in their show," relates bassist Raf Garcia.

Currently, the band is making their own CDs and tshirts. "We'd love to continue that level of
involvement, but we can't physically- or financially- make the amount of merchandise necessary to tour
or to distribute it at a national level," Strickler laments.
