VII. PROTECTION
A. Malachi 3:11 – And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your
sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine
drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts.
Back up to Vs 10 – Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the
storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the

2

blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

2. Vs 10 – Touching the tithe is stealing what doesn’t belong to you.
a. Stealing from God opens the door for the enemy to steal from you.
b. Many people ask why bad things happen to good people.
c. Show me their tithing record!
3. Leviticus 27:30 – And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the
land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.
a. The tithe belongs to the Lord AND it is holy.
b. When you touch things that are holy, you lose protection.
c. God gave Adam everything in the earth, except one tree!
d. When Adam touched the tree prematurely, he lost his protection.
e. The tithe is for your spiritual education.
f. Lev. 3:10 – that there may be food in My house.
g. Uzziah’s tragedy – he touched the holy thing (the ark).
h. When someone touched the spoils of Jericho, protection lifted from
Israel.
B. Isaiah 54:17 – But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every
tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong.
This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of
the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is
reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from
Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
Back up to Vs 14 – You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in
conformity with God’s will and order): you shall be far from even the thought of
oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not
come near you.
Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from Me.
15

Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you.
16
Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals and who
produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created the devastator to destroy.
1. Vs 14 – You have to protect your ear gate.

3
2. The media is always endeavoring to instill fear into people.
3. When you refrain from fear, weapons cannot prosper against you.
4. There can be no fear in your decisions this year.
5. Vs 17 – Jesus is the Prince of Peace and His peace He has given unto us.
6. God will protect us, but our part is to never FEAR!
C. Psalms 91:1 – He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain
stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can
withstand].
2
I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean
and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
3
For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly
pestilence.
4
[Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust
and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
5
You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots
and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
6
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden
death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it
shall not come near you.
8
Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the
Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
9
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling
place,
10
There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and
11

defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12
They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13
You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall
you trample underfoot.
14
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him
on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge
of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never
forsake him, no, never].

4
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I
15

will deliver him and honor him.

16
With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
1. Vs 1 – We find here a condition to having God’s protection.
a. Blessings come only to those who dwell at the right address!
b. Protection comes to those who DWELL, not visit.
c. The secret place of the Most High is when you take God at His
Word and will not be moved.
2. Vs 2 – Say who God is and what He has done for you.
3. Vs 3 – After you do some “saying,” God will do some “delivering.”
4. The snare of the fowler includes a recession.
5. Vs 8 – You are only a spectator of this recession, not a participant.
6. You are inaccessible to recession.
7. Vs 13 – Trample the recession under your feet.
8. Vs 14 – We love the Lord by loving others.
9. In fact, God measures your love for Him by your love for people.

take his order.

b. Ask God how to access what He has already given.
4. You access all things through a seed.
a. Jesus said you must understand seedtime and harvest before you
will understand any other parables.

5
b. If you have a need, you need to seed!
B. 1 Corinthians 2:12 – Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the
world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize
and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely
and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.
1. The gifts have already been given to us by God.
2. When you pray for things, you are saying God is not yet finished.
3. Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished.”
4. Christians own far more than they possess; they possess far less than they
rightfully own.
C. Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship),
recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which
God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared
ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He
prearranged and made ready for us to live].
1. Our lives were pre-arranged by God.

4. Any need you have is proof that it is already here!
5. God has a plan for your life and He knows how to fund it.

land.
8. God is in the seed business.
9. Jehovah Jireh provides seed, not stuff.
