What are Strengths and Weaknesses in your personality?

Everyone has particular qualities that reflect their identity. These qualities are specified into the
traits called “strengths and weaknesses”, which lead us to find out ourselves from inside. They also
provoke us self-improvement so that goals and success in both professional and personal life can be
attained.
After self-analysis, the main strengths I possess consist of voluntary mind, responsibility and
an interest in daily learning. Firstly, I have been taught mottos to serve peoples – helping suffering
people and providing them better opportunities – since the school period. At present, I still continue
holding those sayings on and implementing through social activities held by the faculty and the
charitable organizations. Not only could it could relieve their grief, but also encourage them for moral
support. Secondly, I emphasize assignments and duty. With advisors and companions, I spend time
planning, researching and discussing in details of work so that the main point could be clearly
understood and the objectives can be attained. In many times, the outcomes do not happen nearly as
expected. Nevertheless, I feel impressive at least that we are fully responsible. Lastly, new findings
occur around us and become parts of the largest knowledge base called “the world” everyday. My
power is activated to receive and process flows of information intermittently in one day. They will be
sorted into my personal library as fundamentals for application in daily life and work later on. It could
provide wider perspectives in both academic and social aspects.
In contrast, there are some weaknesses to be improved. I consider myself as an impatient
person. In spite of paying attention, I sometimes hasten to finish working. Consequently, many
mistakes can happen and affects the work progress. Past experiences have reminded me to practice
mind control and learn how to plan and run the process more carefully. I also discuss with the advisors
and the team in some complicated topics so that inaccurate decision could be avoided. My foreign
language skills are other my disadvantages. In my opinion, my English skills are not practiced
effectively, especially the speaking part. As a result, it is not quite confident to comment in English.
The best way to improve is more concentration on the English practice. I’m downloading podcasts to
practice native accents as well as study new vocabularies and expressions used in each situation. I
am also watching English-speaking television news and programs. It would be helpful to increase my
English proficiency and confidence in expressing opinions.
To sum up, the strengths and weaknesses as described above make me intention to keep on
self-improvement. It could support me to achieve goals at present and in the upcoming future.

There’re some reasons why I could be one of the selected candidates for this grant. One
reason is my intention to publicize knowledge and understanding about rational drug utilization. At
present, policies related to public healthcare could help people, especially low-income ones, with
increased access to drugs and medical supplies. According to the scheme of universal coverage, the
middle- and low-income citizens are able to receive drug therapies with the least additional expense.
However, more accessibility of drugs is certain to impact the people’s behaviour towards the drug use.
Someone may misunderstand about suitable drug administration so that upcoming problems could
occur. For example, the control of the disease progression can be affected as well as safety concerns
related to the drugs. One of the problems is poor drug compliance is because the people don’t follow
the pharmacists or physicians’ instruction of the drug use. It is often found in case of antibiotics.
Someone doesn’t keep on the completed does of antibiotics despite apparent signs of recovery from
bacterial infections. Events of drug resistance by bacteria are likely to occur so that they might not be
cured with the same types of antibiotics in case the similar patterns of infections. Therefore, it’s
necessary to provide emphasis about appropriateness of the drug use to the people. The action could
be taken in various ways such as interactive outdoor activities, presentation of comprehensive
contents via mass communication and social networking. In my opinion, the scholarship could assist
me to initialize those activities to encourage the public perception. It would be beneficial for the people
as consumers to gain better understanding and enable to utilize drugs properly.
In addition, the purpose of the scholarship is focused on postgraduate education in the field of
Pharmaceutics. Disadvantages related to conventional drug dosage forms - such as inconvenience,
side effects, toxicities, instability - has influenced my ambition to apply basic and advanced knowledge
in development of the dosage forms. Invention and application of techniques in design and production
could resolve these limitations. To fulfil the intention, studying in the postgraduate level is one of the
pathways to accumulate knowledge, skills and experiences in researches. This fund could partly
support me opportunities in develop and improve the dosage forms that exhibit better therapeutic
efficacy, more considerable stability, higher safety and easier use.
In brief, I believe my determination to help the people with better understanding about the drug
use and create the more potential dosage forms could support me as one of the interesting applicants
to obtain this fund.
