Minimize the download time for each user, reducing the actual file transfer time would
make more noticeable difference. Most recent studies, however, have focused on reducing the
total download duration, i.e., the time required for all users to finish their download. This total
download time is a system-wide performance metric. On the other hand, there are very few
results in analyzing the performance of each individual user.
