WHAT IS THE SER?

The SER is a Proactive Think Tank that aims to revolutionize the Edu-
cation system by changing prevailing perspectives and empowering in-
dividuals through training and awareness programs.

What’s wrong with Education?

1. Pakistan has inherited a colonial mindset in the Education sector
2. Education Institutions are divided into social classes
3. Students are taught merely skills, not values and ethics.
4. There are no Educational Objectives that are intended to bring better-
ment in our future generations
5. The mainstream education is devoid of Religious values
6. Even Religious education lacks internalization of values

What kind of Reforms?

1. We need to standardize a single track National education for our youth.

2. Such a track should be designed to fulfill all of our tomorrow's needs
3. All students should learn Life Skills that empower them to earn their liv-
ing
4. All students ought to be taught and drilled in values that make them into
individuals with character and integrity
5. Religious education should be mainstreamed and Mainstream education
be enhanced with Value and Ethical education.

1. Modernizing the Curriculum for Madaris

2. Designing Textbooks for such a Modern Curriculum
3. Designing of Curriculum for Mainstream Schools
4. Designing Textbooks for such a Curriculum
5. Training and developing individuals that can bring reform

Madrassah Reform Project

The Ulama have a vital role to play in the development of any
healthy and responsible society
Socio-Economic Factors since Colonization have reduced this
role and lowered their efficacy
They need to recognize their responsibility and be empow-
ered to fulfill it.
For this they must bring themselves up to date with the con-
temporary sciences.
SER spends several man-hours a week towards the personal and professional development of
singular individuals that are placed in prime positions in Progressive institutions.
It also: Conducts workshops and discussion groups towards this end, has prepared a modern
Curriculum Map and provides Teacher Training in modern Pedagogy
