Pre-construction anti-termite treatment for new buildings under

construction:
1. General:
The treatment mentioned below shall create a
chemical barrier below and around the
building during the construction and the
buildings which has already come up to plinth level.

2. Chemicals:
Any one of the following chemicals – which are effective when applied uniformly
over the area to be treated - shall be used in water emulsion for the soil
treatment with the concentration shown against it.

Chemical Concentration by weight,

percent
Chlorpyriphos 1.0
Imidacloprid 0.075

3. Treatment:
The principle of the treatment is to create a chemical barrier below and around
the building so as to deny entry to the termites into the buildings. Treatment is
designed depending on the type of building and is described below.

3.1 Treatment for buildings without basement:

The treatment will commence after the foundation and the plinth wall
construction is completed.

The treatment is carried out in the following stages.

3.1.1 Treatment to top surface of plinth filling:

After the soil filling is completed in the plinth area and before the dry rubble
packing or sub-grade is laid, the entire surface of the filled soil and the top
surface of plinth wall / beam shall be treated with the chemical emulsion at 5
liters per sq. m. Light Roding may be carried out in the soil surface to facilitate
absorption of the emulsion.

3.1.2 Treatment at junction of wall and floor:

Roding if necessary to facilitate soaking, shall be carried out along the junction of
wall and soil filling at 15 cm intervals down up to 30 cm. Emulsion shall be
sprayed along the wall junction at 1 litre per linear meter so that it mixes
thoroughly with the broken-up soil. The disturbed earth is then tamped back in
place.

3.1.3 Treatment of soil along external perimeter:

The soil around the external perimeter of the building up to a depth of 30 cm shall
be treated at 2.25 liters per linear meter of the plinth wall. Roding, if necessary,
to facilitate this treatment. To ensure the continuous barrier for the external
perimeter sub-soil injector has to be used for external treatment.

3.1.4 Treatment of soil surrounding pipes, wastes and conduits:

When pipes, wastes and conduits enter the
soil inside the area of the foundation, the soil
surrounding the point of entry must be
loosened around each such pipe, waste or
conduit for a
distance of 15 cm and upto a depth of 7.5cm and loosened soil shall be treated
with chemical
emulsion.

3.1.5 Treatment for expansion joints:

The soil beneath these joints should receive special attention. The treatment
should be
supplemented by treating through the expansion joints after the sub-grade has
been laid at the rate of 2 litres per linear metre.

3.2 Treatment for buildings with basement:

The treatment starts when the excavation is complete and before laying soling
and pcc. The treatment is carried out in following stages.

3.2.1 Treatment to soil below raft:

Before laying the rubble soling and pcc the compacted and leveled soil shall be
treated at 5 litre / sq.m.

3.2.2 Treatment to soil along the retaining wall:

The soil coming in contact with the retaining wall shall be treated at 5 litre per sq.
m. The treatment shall follow the backfilling as backfilling is done in stages of 30
cms but not to exceed a depth of 1metre. Rodding may be carried out to facilitate
the treatment.

3.2.3 Treatment to soil along the external perimeter of the building:

The soil around the external perimeter of the building up to a depth of 30 cm shall
be treated at 2.25 litres per linear metre of the plinth wall. Rodding, if necessary,
to facilitate this treatment. This has to be done using sub soil injector to achieve
uniform barrier.

3.2.4 Treatment of soil surrounding pipes, wastes and conduits:

When pipes, wastes and conduits enter the soil inside the area of the foundation,
the soil surrounding the point of entry must be loosened around each such pipe,
waste or conduit for a
distance of 15 cm and upto a depth of 7.5cm and loosened soil shall be treated
with chemical
emulsion.

3.2.5 Treatment for expansion joints:

The soil beneath these joints should receive special attention. The treatment
should be
supplemented by treating through the expansion joints after the sub-grade has
been laid at the rate of 2 liters per linear meter.

4.1: Warranty:
After the successful treatment of all the
stages 10 years warranty has to be issued
and any re-infestation occurs necessary
treatment has to be carried out at free- of
cost service.

Inspection Vouchers
Free inspection vouchers will be given to customers who sign up the plan. These vouchers
will enable customers to have the flexibility to have their premises inspected at their
convenience.

Treatment schedule
The termite control work should take about 3Days days to complete. A Service Warranty
pack will be issued by Pestrack upon completion of the entire treatment and upon full
payment received.
Essential Requirements from the client’s side:
Existing furniture shall be shifted and kept at a distance of 2ft from the wall to facilitate the
treatment along the junction of wall and floor.
Electricity and water to be provided to carry out drilling and spraying operations.
Details of electric and telephone cables, water lines, conduits or any other service lines
concealed in floor/wall should be informed to us to avoid any chances of damage during
drilling operations. We shall not be held responsible in any inadvertent damage caused to the
above due to non-availability of the details as required.
A representative from your end should be present during shifting or removing of your
property, as our technicians have instructions not to handle owner’s property.
