extent, 2-low extent, 3-high extent, 4-very high extent. The statistical treatment used to
vii

interpret the collected data and to answer the statement of the problems one and two was

answered using frequency and percentage. While in statement of the problem number three

was answered using the weighted mean.

The findings of the study revealed that the profile of the respondents in terms of

age, majority of the respondents is 18 years old with the frequency of 54 or 38.85%. In

terms of gender, female dominates with the frequency of 98 or 70.50% and in terms of

classification most the students are regular with the frequency of 87 or 62.57%. With

reflect on the statement of problem number three regarding the extent of the influence of

the factors that affect the academic performance of nursing students under the new
