Description:

REGION INSURANCE GROUP is one of the bank that has over million of customers in U.K.
The company has various branches related to Insurance and Finance. This project I have
involved in the development of data warehouse for REGION INSURANCE GROUP Insurance
based on five kinds of data marts such as Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Home
Insurance and Motor Insurance and Agribusiness Insurance. They Needed a data
warehouse so that they could maintain historical data and central location for integration,
Analyze Business in different locations, According Profit areas, Which could serve a
purpose of a DSS for decision makers. The company requires different level of analysis
regarding customers, type of Insurances, type of Policies, Claims, Promotion, time etc.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing the requirements and design documents and understanding the

functionality of both source and target systems.
• Developing mappings in Informatica using various transformations according to
functional/application areas.

retail capitals throughout the world, including Stockholm, Tokyo and Hongkong.As a Data
Warehouse Developer for J&M,developed Data mart for rate department, to give users
ability to access,analyse and share information .My responsibilities included creating
mappings in informatica after extracting data from different sources.

Project Title : DATA MART FOR RETAIL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM

Duration : Nov2006 to Nov 2007
Client : Digi Packers, IL, U.S.A.
Role : DWH Application Designer.

Description:

Dig packers Inc. is one of the oldest American retail business chains, which deals with
FMCG products. This project is for retail business covering the consumer products
especially, FMCG products. Data Mart is designed for the purpose of sales analysis that
basically helps the decision makers to analyze the sales patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Worked on informatica tools-Source analyzer, warehouse designer, mapping

designer and mapplet designer, transformation developer.
• Used source analyzer to get the data from flat files and OLTP systems.
• Developed Mapplets, Reusable transformations.
• Created informatica mappings to build business rules to load the data. Most of the
transformations used were like the source qualifier, aggregator, lookup, filter and
sequence generator transformation.
