Description
Battery monitoring unit is a telecom product. This project consists of single RTU & 24 BMUs. RTU
monitors the status of batteries temperature sensors; fuel level sensor AC status etc., & BMU monitors
the status of each battery. BMU is interfaced to RTU.

Responsibilities
 Designed the High Level & Low Level Design documents and Unit Test Case documents.
 Responsible for developing and porting the drivers like CAN 2.0A, Serial ADC, PWM, Timers
 Testing of Module wise and Unit Wise

Environment
Controllers : PIC24FJ256G110, PIC24F08K101.
Peripherals : Serial ADC, UART, PWM.
Tools : MP Lab IDE, C30 Compiler, ORCAD 9.1, Multisim.

System Controls, Bangalore April 2008 to June 2010

 Project 1
Project : Antenna Positioner
Role : Firmware Developer, Hardware Designer
Client : B.E.L
Team Size :2
Duration : 12 months

Description:
The Antenna Positioner (ODU) is used for establishing LOS link between two mobile communication
terminals. The Antenna Positioner is fixed on top of a vehicle mounted 22m telescopic mast. The
Positioner is required to move a 0.6m dia antenna in azimuth and elevation axes, so as to orient
towards another antenna, positioned at a different location. A Positioner Control Unit (IDU), loaded
with a controller software program effects the movement of the Antenna Positioner. The positional
data of the two sites would be the input to the IDU.
Responsibilities:
 Designed the High Level & Low Level Design documents and Unit Test Case documents.
 Responsible for developing and porting the drivers like Serial EEPROM, Serial ADC, UART,
PWM, timers, RS-232, RS-422
 Controlling Motion Controller like LM 629.
 Testing of Module wise and Unit Wise
Environment:
Controllers : Atmega 128, LM 629.
Peripherals : Serial EEPROM, Serial ADC, Serial Flash, UART, PWM, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232
Tools : AVR Studio 4.0, WIN AVR, ORCAD 9.1, ICCAVR 7.19.

 Project 2

Project : Grid Antenna Positioner:

Role : Firmware Developer, Hardware Designer
Client : B.E.L
Team Size :2
Duration : 6 Months
Description
GRID Antenna Positioner is a dual axes angular position control system which controls position in
both azimuth using Brushed DC Motor & Elevation using Linear Actuator. This project consists of
Indoor Unit (IDU) which controls rotating parts that is Grid Positioner (GRAP) which moves Grid
Antenna and Out Door Unit (ODU) which moves Parabolic Antenna. IDU is Placed inside the vehicle
which controls both ODU & GRAP which are placed on the 18mtr mast using 3 node communication
using RS-485.
. Responsibilities
 Designed the High Level & Low Level Design documents and Unit Test Case documents.
 Responsible for developing and porting the drivers like Serial EEPROM, Serial ADC, UART,
PWM, timers, 3 node communication using RS-485
 Controlling Motion Controller like LM 629.
 Testing of Module wise and Unit Wise
Environment
Controllers : Atmega 128, LM 629.
Peripherals : Serial EEPROM, Serial ADC, Serial Flash, UART, PWM, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232
Tools : AVR Studio 4.0, WIN AVR, ORCAD 9.1, ICCAVR 7.19.

TATA Power Co. Ltd., Bangalore August 2005 to April 2008

Role : Testing of Electronic Modules
Client : H.A.L
Team Size :5
Duration : 12 months

Description
LAKSHYA is a pilot less target Aircraft which is an airborne system and it consists of two electronic
modules of Ground Based systems to control from Ground. Airborne electronic modules consists of so
many sensors & encoders to convert air pressure, direction and altitude into digital levels and these
digital levels are sent to the ground system to decode, control and protection of the aircraft

 Project 3

Project : Airbag Control System:

Role : Firmware Developer, Hardware Designer
Client : Internal
Team Size :3
Duration : 2 Months

Description
Airbag Control System is CAN based project which is used as a protective device in 4 wheeler
vehicles during accidents. This project consists of 4 pairs IR Sensors and Detectors to emit IR rays for
detection of the obstacle. Each pair is interfaced to a controller at each side of the vehicle. Such 4
pairs are controlled through a CAN bus by a main controller which is interfaced to a Stepper Motor to
open up the air bag and LCD display for indication.
