Downtown traffic advisory; 11/19

Below is a summary of downtown traffic conditions for the week of November 22-
26. Changes to last week’s advisory are noted in red. For a map that illustrates

Dean McGee from Hudson to Harvey reduced to two lanes


Dean McGee from Hudson to Harvey is reduced to one lane in each direction along the
two south lanes so crews can complete roof repairs.

No right turn at intersection of Reno and Walker*


Traffic at the intersection of Reno and N. Walker has been adjusted slightly while
streetscape crews reconstruct the southeast corner of this intersection. Motorists planning
to turn right onto Reno will be encouraged to follow a suggested detour at SW 2nd.

Sheridan from Dewey to Walker reduced to two lanes*


Sheridan from Dewey to N. Walker is reduced to one lane in each direction so crews can
complete streetscape construction along the south half of the street. Access to the
Sheridan/Walker parking garage will be maintained.

W. Main from Lee to Walker is reduced to two lanes*


W. Main from Lee to Walker is reduced to one lane in each direction so crews can
complete streetscape construction along the north half of the street.

Walker from Reno to Main reduced to two lanes*


N. Walker from Reno to W. Main is reduced to two northbound lanes so crews can
complete streetscape construction along the east half of the street.

California from Dewey to Walker reduced to two lanes*


California from Dewey to N. Walker is reduced to two lanes so crews can complete
streetscape construction on the north half of the street.

Harvey from NW 4th to Dean McGee reduced to two lanes*


N. Harvey from NW 4th to Dean A. McGee is reduced to two northbound lanes so crews
can complete streetscape construction.
Robinson from SW 2nd to SW 3rd closed
Southbound Robinson from SW 2nd to SW 3rd is closed for utility relocations. I-40
access will remain open and motorists will be directed to use S. Hudson for their detour.

Robinson from Robert S. Kerr to NW 6th converted to allow 2-way travel*


N Robinson from Robert S. Kerr to NW 6th has been converted to allow 2-way travel
while N Harvey is closed to thru traffic for streetscape construction. Private downtown
renovations are also being completed in the area.

Hudson from Park to Sheridan reduced to two lanes


Southbound Hudson Avenue between Park Avenue and Sheridan is reduced to two lanes
so crews can continue the next phase of a utility line installation. The work will be done
in several phases throughout October and November.

Harvey from NW 4th to NW 6th closed*


N Harvey from NW 4th to NW 6th is closed to all traffic so crews can complete
streetscape construction.

NW 5th from N Hudson to N Harvey closed to thru traffic*


NW 5th from N Hudson to N Harvey is closed to thru traffic so crews can complete
streetscape construction. Local travel to businesses, parking garages, etc. will be
permitted.

Reno from Dewey to Robinson reduced to two lanes*


Reno from Lee to Robinson is reduced to one lane in each direction so crews can
complete streetscape construction.

Reno from EK Gaylord to Robinson closed through October 2010*


Reno from EK Gaylord to Robinson is closed while crews complete streetscape
construction. Motorists exiting downtown via I-40 are detoured to an alternate route.

Robinson from Sheridan to Reno closed southbound until spring 2011*


Southbound Robinson Avenue between Sheridan and Reno is closed so crews can
continue renovation on the Myriad Botanical Gardens. A counter flow lane has been
constructed along Robinson between Main and Park to allow 2-way traffic and reduce
congestion.

Hudson from Sheridan to Reno reduced to two lanes until spring 2011*
Southbound Hudson between Sheridan Avenue and Reno Avenue is reduced to two lanes
so crews can continue renovation work on the Myriad Botanical Gardens.

Sheridan between Hudson and Robinson closed until spring 2011


Sheridan Avenue between Robinson Avenue and Hudson Avenue remains closed for
utility work.
Film District improvements
The following traffic are part of ongoing street improvements in the Film District.
-Lee Ave. is temporarily closed from Main to California
-Sheridan is reduced to one lane in each direction from Walker to Classen
-Dewey closed Main to California
-Shartel is temporarily closed between Sheridan and Main

All project timelines are contingent upon the weather.
